Ah! Now I want to read them haha.Generally I'm a Bond fan. I started reading through Fleming's books and it tainted the movies a bit for me. The books made the Bond character more of a real person.
Would you mind a PM?I couldn't say which movie is the best, but the next actor to play the role, for me anyway, is a tie between Connery and Craig.
Which Bond film is your favorite?
Not at all. As long as it's a "Lite" one.Would you mind a PM?
Hmm. And you were beginning to be likable.I liked the older Bond movies, especially those with Sean Connery as Bind. He just got the role so perfectly for me. The recent ones I find to be more about the special effects.
Haha I saw what you did there. Not at all. As long as it's a "Lite" one.
But, definitely read Fleming's Bond stories. They're a quick read and quite good.
Lol I never fault anyone for their opinion. I rather learn why the like other things instead. That is where I can learn more and keep my mind stimulated. And yes those older movies had Q making some out of this world like like pen guns and missiles etc. It was the quirkiness that I liked as a kid.Hmm. And you were beginning to be likable.
Correct me if I'm wrong but the more recent ones are the ones without small little pens that miraculously turn into some thingamajiggy.![]()
Brosnan was my favorite Bond and The Living Daylights was my favorite Bond movie. As for why, it was the first Bond film I remember watching and will always hold a special place because of that. I own most of the Bond films, just missing the newest ones from Casino Royale onward.Nonetheless:
which is your favorite Bond, Bond movie, and why?
Answered my question there. Should have read alto the end of the thread before replying. Oops. Not at all. As long as it's a "Lite" one.

Yes, that would be advisable.Answered my question there. Should have read alto the end of the thread before replying. Oops.
Welcome to my thread.I’ve enjoyed all the Bond books. Some are cheesy (like some of the movies) but overall a fun read…while reading I remind myself these are from the 1950s and so the plot/entertainment factor should be viewed from that facet.
I like you.Favorite Bond films are the Daniel Craig, the first one or two were more realistic and the “new Bond” story arc fit nicely with Craig’s raw acting.
I have all hard copies.@AllAmericanMale
Are you both reading hard copies or kindle and such?
Silly question - When you say "all", what does that include...i mean, are the books only about the traditional bond, or also the new Bond?I have all hard copies.
Exactly, so special effects were more prevalent in the older ones, and (much) less so in the recent ones with Craig which are much more realistic especially with his, to borrow the above, raw acting. And yes those older movies had Q making some out of this world like like pen guns and missiles etc. It was the quirkiness that I liked as a kid.
I have the traditional Bond books that Fleming wrote.Silly question - When you say "all", what does that include...i mean, are the books only about the traditional bond, or also the new Bond?
Ok, thought that might be the case.I have the traditional Bond books that Fleming wrote.
What do you consider the "new" books? I'm not aware of any bond books not written by fleming.Ok, thought that might be the case.
Are any of the new Bond in book form?
Craig's bond. What do you consider the "new" books? I'm not aware of any bond books not written by fleming.
Which is interesting because Craig's first film Casino Royale is, i believe, Fleming's first bond book.Craig's bond.

Hmm what do you mean?Bond does show up in short stories prior to that, but not in a book. If I'm remembering correctly.
