No need to retract, or to not return. Just hang around a bit, read the guidelines, see how people interact (all of the preceding is called "lurking," btw), and then begin to meld into the community. As for the drunken night, well, many of us have had those, and survived them and the foolish things we did during them. You can, too.

(Re retraction: You *can* go back and hit the "Edit" button in a post you've made, and change the post, if you want. Then again, you may want to leave it as is, sort of as a reminder of the things you might do when you're drunk... kind of an incentive to not get quite *that* drunk again )
