Lost in Paradise (Open, Pm Only)

Darcia smiled at Devon's concern about the taste of salt water, but the feel of his growing bulge made that concern disappear like a morning mist.

A more demanding press of her hips against his bulge, left little doubt that she didn't want it later, she wanted it now.

"If you would like to teach me, I would like to start with a kiss from you."

The firm press of Darcia's hips against his hardening bulge made her desires quite clear, and her words brought a coy and playful smile to Devon's lips.

"As you wish..." Devon started softly as he leaned his face towards her. "Lesson one..." His face inched closer still. When he saw her lean up to kiss him, though, he shifted his face to the side, letting his cheek brush against hers before pressing a firm kiss to the side of her neck. "A submissive does not always get what they want." His hands slid up her bare back and held her firmly against him as he sucked hard at the pulse point of her neck.

"With this being your first day however..." He whispered heatedly against her moist flesh. "I will make an exception." Devon let his cheek slide against her as he pulled back just far enough to find her lips with his. His arms held her close and tight as he kissed her with a fiery passion that was only enhanced by the feel of her naked breasts against his chest and her hips moving against his achingly hard and constrained cock.

Mmmmm....Darcia was more than ready for Lesson One. She was surprised that Devon shifted and the anticipated kiss on her lips, changed to one on her neck.

"Ohhhhh...." she sighed. Her neck and her clit, in some weird way must be connected, because a kiss on her neck felt almost as good. And Devon was good ... more than good as he found the most sensitive spot on her neck.

She didn't even realize the degree of heat emanating down below or the amount of pressure she was pressing to Devon.

--- "A submissive does not always get what they want. ----"

She was getting exactly what she wanted and she tilted her head slightly, offering even more of her soft, delicate neck.

"Awwwww..." she whispered as his kiss left her neck, but his lips sparked more heat as they pressed against hers. The 'Awwww' changed back to 'Mmmmm' as her passion met and surpassed his.

Her eyes had been closed, but the snapping of twigs and the sound of laughter made her eyes flash open. Two ladies stepped from the path, onto the beach and stopped in surprised silence.

Their appearance was like a bucket of freezing cold water and she broke away from Devon's arms.

Her cheeks turned red and warmer than between her legs. She picked up her top and bra, slipping her top on and holding her bra in her hand.

"I'm so sorry Devon. It's getting late and I didn't realize how tired I am. Could you please escort me to my room?"

She looked at the two ladies whispering and looked up, rolling her eyes. 'So much for my good girl reputation.' Then she laughed ... 'Being good on this island, probably means that one is being very 'bad.''

Darcia looked back to Devon with a half smile... silently whispering ... Sorry.

Devon was so caught up in what he and Darcia were doing, that he didn't hear anybody coming down he path until the sound of twigs snapping tore their erotic moment apart. He didn't fight Darcia as he puled away from him and moved to cover and clothe herself. Hearing the way she joked afterwards, though, helped put him make him feel better, despite her clear embarrassment.

"Of course Miss Bellerose.." Devon started as he reached down to grab his shirt, shoes, and socks. If you'll please come this way, I'll take you to your room."

Devon left his shirt off as he led Darcia past and away from his two female coworkers. He heard the two whispering to each other, but wasn't able to make out what they were saying before he and Darcia were past them.

"I wouldn't worry too much about those two if I were you." Devon said as he opened the door for Darcia once more. He reached for a pair of the towels stacked beside the door for occasions such as this and handed one of them to Darcia. "I'm sure they've walked into something much worse, and even if they haven't, they are probably more jealous than anything else. He then wrapped the towel around his waist and held it closed with one hand while carrying his clothes and shoes with the other. He then led her towards the elevator once more and pushed the button for her floor.

When the elevator dinged, Devon led Darcia to her room, unlocked it with the key card, and handed the card to her. "If there is nothing else Darcia, I will leave you be to get settled. My Mistress has requested that you join us for dinner, however, and with that being said, is there any food that you are allergic to or just don't like to eat?

The activities of the day were taking a toll on Darcia and the rays of the tropical sun made her skin feel hot. Although she was in a bit of a daze, she did hear the ding of the elevator and was able to follow Devon.

She took the card from Devon ... "Dinner. That was so nice of her to invite me. I would love to. What time, where and how should I dress?"

She leaned on the door and almost lost her balance as it unexpectantly opened. "I normally make a less dramatic entrance."

"Allergies...no...nothing. As far as food, I don't like eggs and by personal choice, I don't eat any meat unless it's farm grown. Picky....I know."

"Dinner is at six. Feel free to wear whatever you find most comfortable. I will be waiting in the lobby to pick you up. I've made a mental note of your preferences, and I assure you that they won't be a problem at all" Devon said simply with a smile.

"There is some bottled water in your mini fridge if you get thirsty, and if there is anything else that you need, my number is on the card in the front of your employee handbook on the desk."

With the last of the business-related stuff out of the way, Devon moved his hand to gently grip hers. He lifted her hand as he dipped his head down until he pressed a soft and tender kiss to her finger tips. "Until then my dear..." Devon let the rest of his words simply trail off as he released her hand, stepped back, and left her to her own thoughts.

Bottled water sounded so delicious and it was comforting to know that Devon was only a phone call away. She also wanted to flip through the employee handbook, interested to see if there was any information that hadn't been covered.

Devon had a gentle touch and reminded her of the girl she once loved ... still loved. His kiss on her fingertips reminded her of books she had read on kings and queens and medieval noblemen and damsels in distress.

All alone, she sought out the fridge and drank half a bottle of water. Her skin was still hot from the beach and in the bathroom mirror she saw a very red nose and cheeks. Darcia moistened a hand towel and pressed it to her forehead. That helped the ache in her head and she wet it once again and decided to lay down for a few moments with the cloth on her forehead.

Her eyes closed and she forced them to open and this repeated itself until the weight of her eyelids won and she fell asleep.

Ava managed to slog her way through paperwork for most of the afternoon without interruption, and when her pile of things to do for the waned around 5 pm she was mentally more than ready to go. With no one actively staying on the sublevel there was nothing keeping her from heading upstairs and out the building... and she was grateful for it.

The walk across the road and down into the court was a quick one and Ava wasted no slipping off her shoes once she got in the door. After putting her shoes back into the closet in the foyer she let the cool breeze of air conditioning wash over her damp skin, her stress falling away as the goosebumps temporarily rolled across her skin. She walked further into their town home, past the stairs and into rest of the first floor. It only took a few moments to slowly circle the living and dining room to check for anything that needed to be tidied up, but thankfully everything seemed to be in place. While their place was never a mess, Devon seemed to have already spent the time making sure everything was in it's place. He'd clearly been here since they last talked, but where was he now?

By the time she got up the stairs Ava could hear the muted spray of the shower and she knew she had located him after all. Sadly by the time she had fully gotten into their bedroom and opened the bathroom door the water had turned off, but she could wait and see what would happen later tonight.

"I take it you are going to head over and pick up Darcia soon?" Ava asked inquisitively as he stepped out of the shower.

She lingered in the bathroom, leaning up against the vanity as Devon stepped out and dried off. Even after all these years she still enjoyed watching him, even when she had no ulterior motive for doing so. When Devon had finally finished and was hanging up his towel to dry she slowly unbuttoned her blouse before finally unzipping her skirt and letting it fall to the floor. Once Devon had finally disappeared she stepped into the shower. As much as she would have liked to linger there a quick look at the clock told her she only had roughly 20-30 minutes before Devon would reappear with Darcia and she didn't want to be a terrible host. Thankfully by the time she was done washing and then blow drying her hair it was just barely 05:45, giving her enough time to get dressed and hopefully get something started for dinner.

Ava hemmed and hawed as she pawed through the dresser, trying to discern if she needed to decide between comfortable and attractive. In the end she settled on a pair of shorts that featured an inspired black and white aztec print and a simple black camisole. Devon would certainly approve, as it highlighted her toned legs and muscular calves and her ample breasts which thankfully had yet to give away the fact that she was now well into her 30's.

As she made her way down the stairs in her bare feet she wondered what Darcia would think of their home. It was certainly not as upscale as some of the largest suites at the resort, but it was still warm and homey. She had opted to paint a majority of the walls the same color as her office, which left the space feeling open and bright. Unlike her office however their townhome was full of natural light as the back wall that led to the patio outside was almost completely glass, the view of the bay creating all the drama that the space needed. Ava had opted to fill the space much like she had her office, the ceiling and the furniture within was all created with reclaimed and distressed wood from the island and the surrounding areas giving the space and interesting mix of textures and colors. The sectional that filled the living room she had left beige, not wanting to distract from view outside, leaving the entire first level as open and welcoming as possible.

She pondered what to make as she opened the fridge. Darcia had mentioned nothing that was not farm grown to Devon. What did that mean exactly? Was it nothing commercially raised? That would make sense. She couldn't remember if she had actually mentioned any kind of dietary restrictions on her application, she should have checked. In the end she settled on spiny lobster before she left her office, and a quick call had led to a quick delivery from one of the kitchens not long ago. Settling on pasta she pulled out garlic and white wine she had left over while her pot of water heated on the stove and got to work. She had gotten pretty quick at dispatching and prepping them over the past couple years since she still enjoyed cooking for herself, and by the time she was done her pan, full of butter, garlic, olive oil and white wine was bubbling away and waiting. Now, all she had to do was pull out the salad that Devon had prepped earlier at her request.

Darcia was in the place between sleep and awake. She heard birds singing and chirping and she was so relaxed she thought she had gone to the spa and had drifted asleep.

The sound of the birds was hypnotic and she was unsure if she was dreaming of being in paradise or if she really was. Her eyes fluttered open and she noticed a warm breeze flowing over her.

She didn't remember opening the window, but perhaps Devon had. 'Devon ... dinner. Ohhhh no.'

Darcia jumped out of bed and searched for her phone, panicking with the thought that it may be past six o'clock. The phone's battery was almost dead and the screen light was dim, and the clock read 5:25.

She stripped off her clothes and dashed into the shower, not even taking the time to examine her room. The water felt wonderful and she would have loved to take her time, but time was something she didn't have.

Her suitcase. She was told it would be brought to her room, but she didn't remember seeing it. However, she was so out of it when her and Devon reached her room, she could have tripped over it and not noticed.

After stepping out of the shower, she looked at herself in the mirror. Her shoulders were red, as were her cheeks and nose. Thank goodness most of her body was below the waterline or she would be in a world of pain.

Her case was next to the dresser and she picked through to find lotion, her brush and an outfit to wear. She chose a white off shoulder crop top and matching white waist skirt.

She added moisturizer to her shoulders and cheeks and dotted her lips with lip balm. Darcia thought for a moment and then went back to her case for liner and lipstick.

Darcia remembered seeing a particular flower along the path to the beach and she rushed out her room and retraced her steps to the spot she remembered. There, grouped around a bush were pink alstromerias.

She didn't know what the policy was, but she couldn't resist picking a group of six that were bunched together. Darcia almost went in the wrong direction, but at the last moment got her bearings and found her way to the cafeteria.
Darcia asked a server for the wine list and was pleased to see they had a Castillo de Conde, a semi-sweet red wine from Valencia, Spain. The lady apologized, saying Darcia was listed on the computer registry, but had no credits.

“Pretty please,” Darcia begged. “Can't I borrow on my credits and then pay them back when I receive them?”

The lady apologized again, but reversed her decision when Darcia told her it was a dinner gift for Ava.

On her way out, Darcia grabbed a glass jug from a counter and went to her room.

She filled the jug with water and trimmed the flowers as best she could and heard footsteps in the hall, hoping it was Devon.

Devon found himself torn on what to do after he left Darcia's room. She was the only thing that he was really responsible for today, aside from Ava, who he knew was busy. He started by going to the nearest computer console, logging in, and sending an email to Ava that included the list of things that Darcia her lack of allergies and food preferences. He then logged out and headed home. He could have had somebody drive him the admittedly short distance, but with him having nothing else to do just then, he was perfectly fine walking it.

Devon got to the townhouse that he shared with Ava quickly enough, and after a quick check of his email to see if Ava had replied, which she hadn't, he grabbed his laptop and headed out to the balcony. He didn't often get to work on the story that he was writing these days, but he always tried to get to it whenever the next part came to him. The sound of the ocean not too far away always served to both calm him down and inspire him. It was one of the many things that he loved about this place. He naturally kept his email tabbed for quick reference, and when he checked in and saw a response from Ava telling him what she planned to do for dinner and what she needed from him, he got right to it.

The prep work that Ava required of him for this dinner was easy enough, and it didn't take him long at all to prepare the salad that she requested. Once that was done, he checked the time before doing what little tidying up was necessary. He always tried to tend to things like that before Ava got home. There were several reasons for that of course, but he biggest one was so that he could spend as much time with her alone as he could. They both had their parts to play at the resort, and alone time was not always as easy to come by as either of them would truly like.

Once he was done with everything he needed to do, Devon stropped out of his clothes, tossed them into the hamper, and headed for the bathroom.

If there was one thing that Devon had always enjoyed doing, it was lingering in the shower. He knew that he had some spare time before Ava got home, and even a bit more after that before he had to go pick up Darcia, so he was more than glad to linger now. He leaned against the wall with his head bowed and just let the steaming hot water pound on his shoulders for a good long while before he finally started to wash his hair and body.

It was always a bit of a sad moment for Devon when he had to step out of the shower, and it was especially sad, in it's own way, when he stepped out and saw Ava was there. Showers were that much more enjoyable when Ava was with him.

"Yes, Mistress, I was planning on heading that way as soon as I dressed." Devon said in response to Ava's question as he slowly toweled himself off. He was acutely aware of the fact that Ava was still in the room, and as much as he enjoyed giving her a show, he didn't this time. He couldn't resist the urge to let his gaze wander over to her as he was hanging up his towel though, and his cock slowly hardened as his mind wandered while he watched her undress. Sadly, though, there was no time for such things, and he had to settle for the subtle brush of their shoulders against each other as they switched positions. He cast one more glance over his shoulder at her naked body before he turned and left the room.

With Ava having not specified whether this was going to be a more formal type dinner, Devon knew that he, like Darcia, was free to wear whatever he chose. So he gladly chose a pair of form-fitting black boxer briefs, navy blue shorts, and a similarly colored plain t-shirt. He was always in favor of dressing casually here, what with the heat and humidity and all.

Once he put his socks and shoes on, Devon headed out the door and once again walked the short distance between the townhouse and the employee housing. He was a little surprised when he saw that Darcia wasn't in the lobby, but then again, he had told her that he'd be waiting for her. He waited for a couple of minutes before deciding to head up to her room instead.

He rand he bell for her room when he got to her door, and was glad when he heard the footsteps inside. When she opened the door, he couldn't help but appreciate the outfit that she'd chosen. He was about to compliment her on her appearance when he noticed the glass jug of flowers and bottle of wine that she was holding.

"You didn't have to go through the trouble of the flowers and wine, but it will certainly be appreciated nonetheless." Devon said with a smile as he reached out his arms to take them from her if she wanted him to carry them. "I'd be happy to carry them for you if you'd prefer, and you look lovely by the way."

"Hi Devon," she said. "It was no trouble at all."

She offered Devon the bottle of wine, but possessively kept the flowers.

"Thank you. You look very handsome. I'm sorry for not meeting you in the lobby, but I got too much sun today and fell asleep. If it wasn't for the sound from the birds, I would have still been asleep."

With a grin she said, "I would hate to have been punished for being late."

"I enjoyed our time at the beach and I hope we get to do it again soon."

She put the flowers down and took out a hat that had been slightly crushed in her case. Darcia managed to work out the parts that had been pushed in, fitted the hat on her head and then struck a pose for Devon.

The pose was flirting and teasing at the same time. At home she did this to control the situation, not realizing that what worked at home may not work similarly here.

"It's unfortunate that we don't have more time," she said and then raised her eyes to Devon's and slightly pouted her lips.

She took the flower jug, "I think I have everything."

Devon took the bottle of wine, but couldn't help but laugh when she chose not to give him the flowers. He listened to her speak with the same small smile on his face. Between her thinking she could have been shark bait and being punished for being late, she was certainly entertaining.

"I enjoyed our time on the beach as well." Devon said before chuckling at the pose that she struck for him. "Oh? And what would you do if we had had more time?" Devon asked with genuine curiosity and a coy smile as he opened the door and held it open for her. The walk back to the house was going to be short, but he enjoyed her company, and was more than happy to make small talk along the way.

"Oh? And what would you do if we had more time?"

Darcia smiled and her eyes sparkled. "I was thinking about an appetizer. Something that would stimulate my appetite ... or something else."

She brushed by Devon's shoulder as she exited the room. "Although an appetizer is normally something small ... and something small wasn't what I had in mind."

Darcia bit down and then licked over her lips. "If only we had more time ... but, we dare not keep Ava waiting."

With an angelic look she said, "Punctuality is next to godliness, don't you think?"

As they walked along the path, she suddenly stopped and took Devon's hand.

"Oh no," and she raised her hand to cover her mouth. After a moment she lowered her hand.

"I forgot to bring dessert ... "

With a very naughty grin she continued, "or.....maybe I didn't?"

She pulled on his hand, "C'mon Devon. Don't just stand there. We have to go. I would just hate to see your Mistress, or with Ava's blessing, let me give you a spanking for being late."

Her laughter drowned out the singing of the birds.

Darcia's words made Devon chuckle. He knew exactly what it was that she wished had happened earlier on the beach, and likely what she wished they had time for now.

"You are certainly right about the punctuality. Ava would likely give us some leeway, but it would be a shame to keep her waiting." Devon gladly stopped along with Darcia, wondering what was on her mind. He let her grab his hand, and once again couldn't help but chuckle at her words.

"That is the great thing about dessert, Darcia..." Devon started after both of them had a good laugh at her words. "Where there is not always time for an appetizer, there is always time for dessert, and I am sure tonight will be no different. I am sure we'll be able to find something suitable for dessert at the house. Hell, we might even be able to throw some whipped cream on top too.

The rest of the walk back to the house was short and enjoyable. Darcia made good company, and helped keep the mood light and playful, each of them hinting at what might yet happen later that night, without ever saying it outright. He held her hand until they reached the door of the house, and only then did he let it go, not wanting to push his luck by opening the door with the same hand that held the bottle of wine.

Devon held the door open for Darcia and closed it behind her. He kicked off his shoes, and after waiting for Darcia to do the same, he picked them up and put them both in the closet. He then led her past the staircase and into the bright, open, and inviting great room.

The transition from hot, tropical air to cool air-conditioned air felt refreshing and Darcia loved the bright, openness of the room. She also loved the rustic look of the natural wood, which she just had to touch.

"My goodness, it's beautiful," she said to Devon.

The room was filled with that unique tropical scent, along with a hint of garlic.

She was going to ask Devon for a jug for the flowers, but stopped when she heard a small rustling noise.

Time passed quickly as Ava finished preparing dinner. After dropping her pasta in to cook she quickly sliced some of the freshly prepared bread that she had grabbed from the kitchens the day before which went easily into the oven to toast up. Setting the table for 3 was simple enough and the pasta and salad bowls, bread plate and silverware stacked easily. By the time the dishes and silverware was set she had just enough time to place a water and wine glass before her bread needed to be pulled out of the oven. She had just arranged the bread on an oblong serving dish and pulled the salad out of the fridge when she heard the door open. She paused for a moment, pulling off the lid of the container and sliding the assorted mix into a wooden salad bowl before letting the container and lid slide into the sink with minimal noise. When she walked past the half-wall that separated the kitchen from the great room she wasn't surprised to see Darcia and Devon at the mouth of the hallway.

"Wondered if you two might have gotten lost along the way" Ava said with a smile as she placed the two serving dishes at the end of the dining table. As she glanced up at the two of them she couldn't help but notice the bottle of wine, and what looked like flowers.

"What is this?" Ava asked, gesturing slightly to the objects they were both holding as the two turned towards her. "Darcia, you didn't need to go through the trouble of finding anything to bring. Where on earth did you manage to find the flowers? That is so thoughtful of you... We would have been more than happy with just your presence tonight." Her words flowed easily as she meant every single one of them, and she had to stop herself from winking cheekily to make sure Darcia understood the significance of her words. Instead she settled on a warm smile as she grabbed a vase out of the large china cabinet that sat behind the dinning table.

"I'll get some water for those." Ava said as she walked slowly toward Darcia and extended her free hand. "Dinner will be ready in just a minute or two, can I get you a drink? Or I suppose a corkscrew for the wine?"

"Wondered if you two might have gotten lost along the way" Ava said.

Darcia had looked forward to seeing Ava again and she smiled warmly. "If it wasn't for Devon, I probably would have got lost."

Where on earth did you manage to find the flowers?

"Devon said these were your favourite flowers and I was thrilled when I saw a small patch of them along the path to the beach."

Ava's smile sent a flutter through her tummy and she wasn't surprised at this. She had been drawn to Ava the moment they met and that only grew as she stared at Ava's graceful movements.

When Ava extended her hand, Darcia leaned and kissed Ava on one cheek and then the other. "It's a French way of greeting somebody. Isn't it nice," and she couldn't help but do it again.

She blushed. "Normally it's only done once, but I couldn't help myself."

Darcia handed the flowers to Ava and walked behind her to the kitchen.

"Your house is so warm and welcoming. Thank you for inviting me to dinner."

She didn't invade Ava's space, but she was close enough to smell Ava's fresh femininity. Without realizing, she drew in a deep breath, partially closed her eyes and felt a shiver pass over her.

"I would love a glass of wine and can bring the corkscrew to Devon," she said.

She brushed her arm against Ava's arm. "Is there anything else I can do?"

Her eyes met Ava's eyes and naughtily she licked her lips.

Devon couldn't help but chuckle when Darcia talked about her possibly getting lost if he hadn't been with her. He watched her move towards Ava, and couldn't resist the urge to play off of the vibes that she was giving off.

"I don't know about getting lost..." Devon started as he silently moved up behind Darcia. "There was however a chance of being late. One of us felt he strong desire for an elicit appetizer of sorts..." As he finished speaking, Devon took a chance and moved his hands to Darcia's hips as he pressed his chest against her back and bent down to press a tender but lingering kiss to her neck.

"Thankfully, though, a voice of reason managed to keep us on schedule and bring us here just in time for dinner by the looks of it."

Hearing the mention of a corkscrew for the wine, Devon acted instantly, moving towards the utensil drawer and fetching it. He had naturally seen the french greetings that Darcia had greeted Ava with, and he couldn't help but feel a stirring in his mind as he thought of what a night with the two of them would be like.

It took just a moment for Devon to bring the bottle of wine to the table and pop it open. He just hoped that the loud pop didn't ruin the moment the two women seemed to be sharing. There would be little help for it either way, though, and he simply poured a glass for each of them. With nothing else to do just then, he simply watched the two women, ready to get them anything they needed if the need arose.

Devon's kiss sent a delicious shiver down Darcia's neck and didn't stop until it reached the tips of her toes. Her head tilted slightly and her eyes closed for an instant as the kiss remained.

The kiss was all too short, but the sweetness lingered.

[a voice of reason managed to keep us on schedule]

"Yes Ava, fortunately there was a voice of reason and I believe it was mine. Let's see ... yes, I remember saying - "Punctuality is next to godliness."

I think Devon said something about - Ava would likely give us some leeway.

Darcia turned to Devon, laughed, stuck out her tongue playfully and then turned to Ava. "Devon did say it would be a shame to keep you waiting and I thought that was nice of him."

She leaned closer to Ava and whispered, "He seems very thoughtful."

While Devon poured the wine, Darcia assisted Ava with the flowers. "So beautiful and elegant," Darcia said. She paused, then continued .. "and the flowers are nice too."

She looked slightly down and let her fingers trace over the back of Ava's hand. She raised Ava's hand, letting her palm lightly touch and rest on the side of her face. She slowly moved Ava's hand until her palm was over her lips. Darcia kissed Ava's palm, flicked her tongue and let the kiss linger for a moment longer.

Ava's small smile grew wider as Darcia leaned in close before planting a soft kiss on each of her cheeks, and she couldn't help but wonder where the reserved young woman who sat in her office earlier had gone. This would certainly be an interesting evening if this persisted, even if she had to wonder if this was genuinely Darcia. If this went past what it already was, would one of them reject it?

"Yes, it is quite a lovely gesture between friends." Ava said as Darcia passed the flowers over and then followed her into the kitchen. "I am glad you think so, it came out better than I anticipated." Truthfully, she was flattered by Darcia's compliment on her home since she invited so few people.

As Darcia hovered nearby she almost thought she heard Darcia inhale deeply beside her, and she couldn't help but wonder if she was admiring the smell of the meal or something else entirely. The small moment between Devon and Darcia had been an interesting one. The two seemed to have gotten a lot closer than she expected in a single afternoon, so perhaps the more relaxed nature Darcia seemed to be projecting was really genuine. While she had been momentarily lost in thought Darcia comment snapped her back to reality.

"So beautiful and elegant," Darcia said. She paused, then continued .. "and the flowers are nice too."

"Oh such flattery, that might get you farther than you think." Ava said with a chuckle. "The two of us would make quite a beautiful pair.." She let her words trail off as she placed the last trimmed stem in the vase, helping the last bit of a serviceable arrangement before turning to face Darcia.

"All appetizers aside, why don't you bring this in and find a nice spot on the table. I'll be in with dinner in just a minute." She quickly turned and walked the few steps back to the stove, quickly ladling the bow tie pasta into the finished sauce. She couldn't resist watching Darcia disappear into the other room as she did so. It only took her a moment to toss the pasta in the light citrusy sauce before sliding it into the large service bowl. By the time she made her way back around the wall and into the dining area of the great room it seemed that both parties had found their seats.

"The two of us would make quite a beautiful pair.."

When Ava turned and saw Darcia, she noticed a flower in Darcia's hair, above her ear.

Darcia smiled, holding another flower between her fingers. She lifted her hands and gently brushed a wisp of hair from Ava and slipped the flower above Ava's ear.

"It is a Polynesian custom that when a person puts a flower in another person's hair, the person must follow that with a kiss," and she leaned, softly pressing her lips to Ava's lips.

"Sweet," she whispered after she reluctantly let her lips part from Ava. She took the flowers, "It's not really a tradition, but it should be."

Darcia turned and swayed her hips as she walked away, certain that Ava would be watching.

She sat comfortably on the dining room chair, looking at Ava as she entered. Devon seemed preoccupied and Darcia stood, moved some items on the table to make room for the serving bowl and adjusted Ava's cutlery, which were angled a touch off centre.

She looked over to Devon in a glare that could be perceived as playful or a bit on the side of scolding, "tsk, tsk!"

It was rare for Devon to ever lose himself in his own head when he was near Ava, but this was one of those times. Thoughts of all sorts of scenarios that involved all three of them were playing over and over in his head.

Devon snapped back to the present when he heard Darcia chastising tsks. He chuckled softly and turned his head towards Ava as he reached his hands out to take the service bowl from her and set it in the place that Darcia had cleared for it. He then took hold of the serving spoon and dished out serving for each of the three of them. He started with Darcia, did Ava second, and ended with himself. He then lifted his wine glass and turned first towards Ava and then to Darcia. "Should we toast to anything before we eat?"

Darcia watched as Devon ladled out the pasta, thinking how handsome Devon would look in a bow tie and tuxedo. She also thought how nice it was to be served and thinking she could get used to this.

A smile crossed her lips when she thought of Devon serving in other ways.
