Very lovely wyckd. It holds a certain eerieness and chill to the words... but the feeling(s) expressed are familiar to many. :rose:
 
Nice to see you stop in Victoria.. :rose: :kiss: ...LOL not pushing my luck any more..a very hot lady of my past said we were one again and by dawn she was gone..LOL so my trust level is still on the mend.
 
*Places the box containing her desk stuff down and starts to put away the contents. Before she places anything on top, she gets out the bottle of Lemon Oil and gives the desk top a good oiling until it shines. Then she carefully places the terrarium from BB8 in the center of her desk... directly under her lamp, then her desk calendar, then her note pads. Then she heads back to the entry door to get the other box of waters, sodas, and creamers and heads for the coffee bar and fridge to put things away.

Noticing the slight chill, she bumps the thermostat up a notch then makes quick work of putting things away. Picking up the oil and the soft cloth... she moves to the round table just inside the main door. Soon there will be a small centerpiece and the little lamp her Grandfather made - sitting in the middle of the table again*

I'm sorry for your recent hurts... but we both know that one must follow where their heart leads and where it beats the strongest. For it is those strong beats, that echo loudly within us... especially when the one we truly love is near... is that not so?

*Giggles* I'd quite forgotten about that 'private room'! :eek: Mmm, the coffee smells great!! And if you look in the box by my desk... you'll find some Dunkie's in it! ;) I knew you'd be craving sweets about now. You never were a big lunch person. :)

LOL you know me too well..your right never been big on lunch..LOL snacks and coffee..till dinner or breakfast..which ever comes first

New Editorial Policy at The Corner​

I have been looking over some of the recent postings during my absence and am finding that there are repeated 'notices' of new stories going up on the story boards here at Lit. While this is a public forum, yes... The Corner was originally designed as a place for writers, new to the art, and those already established; both from the Playground and elsewhere, to showcase their works - away from the story or poetry boards.

This is NOT a public 'telephone pole' on which one tacks flyers or notices... that is what the sig line area of your profile is for (See: Edit Signature button on your User Control Panel). Nor is this the Village Square where the Town Crier barks out the news.

This is a place where all contibute and share their works... and get honest feed back. Please feel free to share a work of yours - place it up on the "Wall". All contributions are welcome.

Please hold to this policy. It is now in force... effective immediately.
Thank you for adhering to it.

Now this is still the place to meet and greet and get you know other folks of the Playground and from places beyond. One main reason for this thread was to give back all the help that had been given me along the way..and as writers we can look back and see our starts and our bumped noses when things didn't go well.. but we made it to the point where folks come to us to help them and that is why The Corner. Me, I am the hardcore romantic romantic with a flare for the pen and you why do you write. If I scatch the surface a bit it is a pent up need to release your feelings and what a better place then here to do it and cause those who wish to try it.

Awwww Lusty! :kiss: Thank you. It is nice to be back.... truly. You've made me feel very welcome... and it feels like that warm robe you put on in the morning. I can feel the warmth of the place surround me... much like that robe, or a soft warm blanket... the touch of that which is "familiar" to one. You have always been the 'romatic romantic'... hense the nickname "Romantic Scribe." ;)

We urge all who like to write... doesn't matter if it's poetry or story... instead of just the few who will read it on the boards... share it here with the many. It is by sharing, that we learn what makes each other 'tick'.
