[Azure Dreams]

As I gazed up at the mountains, I was awed by their majesty;
I bowed my head and asked myself, "Why should He care for me?
I am not great like the mountains that tower so high above,
What is there about me that God can find to love?"

"Father, I am not strong like the wind that makes your tall trees sway,
I cannot sing sweetly like your birds; will you love me anyway?
But most of all, I am simply me, and often have cause to fear,
In spite of all my weaknesses, do you promise to be near?"

With eyes closed tight against my tears, I wished He could hear me pray.
Then I felt His Spirit tell me, "Child, look up, I have something to say.
"You are simply you, the spirit I love, a part of my great plan.
I put you here to learn of life and to return to me again."

"You are more beautiful to me than the loveliest mountain I made,
And your strength exceeds that of the wind's, so do not be afraid.
I love you not for what you are, but for what I know you will be.
I am always beside you watching you grow, you are very special to me."

A smile touched my lips - I knew it was true, my Father had always been there.
Giving me comfort and blessings and love and my own special talents to share.
So I do my best to make Him proud. I am not afraid, for you see,
He loves me not for what I am, but for what He knows I will be.

Oh MFM! The joy and love expressed in this work... truly remind us that Our Father is always near... that He does not desert us in times of trial and tribulation; that He is our Rock and our Salvation... and that He will not forsake us... and, when our time is through... this reminds us all, or should, that we will go home to Him again.

I am of the firm belief that if so many did not decry His presence; and want to banish Him from our schools and extra-curricular activites... so much might be different in the world today.

I'll agree with that statement! I've got a 22 Chapter book, in manuscript form, ready for submittal to a publishing house... that will bear witness to the work writing itself. I was amazed at the speed at which I wrote it... sometimes able to write two to three chapters a day. It took six months to write... and i'm quite proud of it.

If any of you would like, let me know... and I may share a chapter or two with you here. I'd be interested in how you all preceive it.

I do so agree with you Victoria...and it is time for us to take back Our faith! This great country was founded on the principal of religious freedom...not the right to legislate against what we believe! If you don't agree with my beliefs that is your perrogative...if you dont want me to express them then you can return from whence you came...

This ends Chapter 1... consisting of about 7 pages. It is double-spaced, as required, but for brevity and space here... I condenced it to single-space.

I hope you enjoy the readiing of it... as much as I enjoyed the writing of it. The writing became as a release for me. I had held so much inside, for so long... that it just spilled onto the pages as the work unfolded.

Should I put up more of the book... you will realize what I mean.

...truely a very well written peace Victoria...great descriptions! For Chapter 1 I would like to know more about the characters but that's just me......as far as putting up more of the book...hmmmmmmmmmm...wouldn't want to cut into booksales... ...but no doubt I would read...

Phaedra: 5'2"
Blue eyes
Hair that is either deep brown or chestnut in colour.
She's not anorexic model type skinny... she is average, yet comfortable about her looks.... more pleasantly slender if you will.

Michael: 5'11"
Hazel eyes w/dark brown eyebrows
Silver hair
About 180 - 190

As more of the rest of the characters/players become revealed... ask me and I'll be happy to give you descriptions.
