*Just then, in real life, her Cellphone Rang, Thanks to the so called, Untraceable call, Super had been able to quickly nail her number, and re-route the subordinates call to some guy in afganastan*

*As for her nice little virus, he was, in fact, impressed by her knowledge of Code. So, With a little razzle dazzling, he Captured, Subdued and made the file dormant. He could use that with a bit of handling, He licked his lips, time to pull out the big guns. he pulled out a small, old, worn shoebox from his desk and opened it, inside, sixty disks laid, each had a specifically designed, High Damage, High Risk, High Reproduction Rate, That could hit any part of the computer, he knew what he was going to do...And he waited for her to awanser her phone*

Queen of Hearts

The ever so obnoxious ring of the cell phone made her start, as she she fumbled for it.

"Char here.," she snapped irratbly. Any other night she would have been catching up on a precious few hours of beauty sleep...whoever was calling would most definately need to be reminded of that. Painfully.

Ahh....Am I correct in saying this is -the- Chardonnay? I had a feeling it would be you....You know, Cell phones are tricky things....Leave behind all sorts of electronic evidence you know...

*She heard a long chuckled at the other end*

I am Sup3r H@xx0r, Formerly Of the Legion of Doom, Formerly of The Four Horsemen, Formerly of the Knights of the Round Circuit, I have been known As Zero-K00l, L3x Luth0r, and Horseman_Of_Death. And You my dear, have turned out to be quite the opponent.

She had expected he would figure out her real identity -- sooner or later -- but she wasn't anticipating it would be this soon. As cornered as she may feel, she was determined not to let it show. It would be considered a weakness, and more than anything she wanted to keep up her invincible facade.

"Hello Shawn," she breathed.

"I'm glad you could get to know me by more than mere reputation. The media can do such horrors to a person's image..."

Oh I quite agree...Did you see those FBI Assholes did on my little bombing of the Pentagon's Intranet? They hardly captured the sheer brilliance of my scheme. and I was only given away by the stupidity of Human error, It is, as Im sure you know. Impossible to get good henchmen these days.

*he grinned on his end*

And Im glad you've learned my Proper name...I do say I didnt expect you to be the person behind all those lovely viruses. Very deadly, but unfortunately very easy to counteract. You need somthing a tad more subtle, and Hardier. But that can be discussed later. I am, In my hackers opnion, Impressed. How about somthing a tad more personal..Im certain you have an A.R (actual Reality) with you somewhere...I'll connect you to my -personal- laptop....Much more power, and a Direct connection makes things so much better..

Queen of Hearts

"Fortunately, my adversaries aren't all as so well versed in the wide variety of computer viruses as you are."

He went on to ask her if she was connected with A.R., a government developed, yet privately perfected, training program which allowed you to interact with other users as well as the virtual environment around you. Much more intense than other simulators on the market today, A.R. required the users to have sensors implanted beneath their skin which allowed for much more accurate measurements and seamless interaction with the fantasy world. Scenarios could be edited to fit the trainees unique demands -- everything from diplomatic negotiation to live target practice were in the data banks. The emphasis he put on personal, whether on purpose or merely by accident, made her think he had other things in mind than just helping her brush up on her hacking skills.

"But of course, don't think you government agents can monopolize all the nifty gadgets for yourself."

Steel Ghost

I happily accepted the drink, and took a sip. Did I mention that this would be the first time I drank alcohol? The coke didn't seem to be able to hide the alcoho, and pretty soon I was coughing. Shadow patted me on the back, and asked me if i was okay, "I'm okay", i said. I glanced around her room a bit, "nice room you got here".

I am, mon petite , Not a government agent. I simply work for them to keep myself out of Prison.

*he grinned, noting the gasp of astonishment in her voice*

I take it you didnt know that. Well...Connect to your best computer, and prepare yourself, I'll need your ISP Number, but otherwise you can leave the setup to me.

*he chuckled quietly*

agreed?

Queen of Hearts

"As long as you don't suddenly change your mind about that loyalty issue, it's more than fine with me."

Laughing darkly, she wondered what she was getting herself into.

"I rather enjoy confronting my competition face to face. I'll get you that IP address in a second. Catch you on the flip side..."

The end of their conversation was punctuated by a soft electronic bleep from the phone that pierced the silence with its sharp tone and faded away into nothing but a mere echo.

ooc: I was wondering. Is our hacker really evil, or is he pretending to be evil so he can get us information? By the way, did you notice my new avatar, and little poem at the bottom?

*He activated it, suddenly there came that sinking electronic feeling, the doors of his room locked shut super tight, and he went Actual Reality...*

*Actual Reality..*

*Inside of the world, they now found themselves in a great Mansion, It was obviously a personally programmed world, candle light flickered all around them, casting shadows everywhere, Three Great Coats of arms, Of The three Hacker clans he had belonged to, hung over the doorway, his Personal Symbol, The Skull With a Sword Going upwards and right through it, hung above the great, soft leather chair, he turned around in it, his eyes dancing quietly*

So, We meet at last.....Ms.Chardonnay...

ooc: Ahem, scince I did not specify, he is wearing All black clothing, and a dark black trench coat...^_^

She barely had time to glance at his short, attached note before she felt her skin begin to crawl. It wasn't an unpleasant feeling, just...different. Taking a deep breath she closed her eyes, exhaled slowly between her crimson lips, and opened her eyes to find herself in his world...

Taking in all of the room that wasn't bathed in shadows, she had to admire his taste...it was so similar to hers. Those people who enjoy living in rooms painted with such happy colors as SunShine Yellow or Rose Blossom Pink might have scoffed under their breaths about him needing an interior decorator. Although the decor was predominantly black, the mood it set was not a morbid one...more dramatic than anything.

He sat there, taking her in, looking almost smug. Glancing down, her outfit flashed a lot more skin then she usually bore in public. With a single strap wound around the back of her neck, it clung just above her knees, a slit reaching almost to the top of her garters. Red crocodile skin boots made a striking contrast the rest of her outfit, and the rest of the room for that matter. She could see her reflection in the glossy finish of his desk. Her hair was straightened and swept back from her face, held in place by a set of sculpted jade combs that matched her eyes. She had on more makeup than she usually wore giving her a lofty, yet imposing look. Perhaps it wasn't exactly the image she would have chosen for herself, but he seemed to be enjoying it immensely. He was clothed in all-black also....‘his & her' matching outfits.

So, he wants me only as a show piece...the crowning jewel on his scepter...

The candles flickered off her eyes, turning them a pale green any cat would have been jealous of. She crossed her arms, leaning back on one heel...a mastering of balance that she had perfected long ago. Her voice filled the large space, reaching out to the shadows in the far corners, almost daring them to get any closer.

"Good evening Shawn," she spoke, a slight undertone of her Australian accent showing in her rich, cultured voice. Above him she noticed a Neoclassical styled oil painting of a sleeping woman, grinning devil, and luminescent horse head blended into a perfect balance between good & evil. "Johann Heinrich Fuseli...very classy."

*He smiled...very slowly, his eyes glancing upward*

I Did think so...I have a gallery here if you enjoy Classical art...

*His smile curved upwards a little, He always had a flair for the dramatic....He was all too obviously the king of his castle, and familiar in his domain, Not at all nervous as some people were in alternate, programmed realitys. He almost looked as if he belonged her...He stood up, spreading his arms wide*

Welcome to Avalon, I trust you will accept my hospitality..

*He Pulled a large bottle from his desk, and showed off the dusty Lable*

Chardonnay, A 33' if I am not mistaken...the Rains that year made for excellent Vintage...

*With a little working of expert hands he popped the cork and deftly filled two crystal glasses, picking one up and taking the smallest of sips*

Rather dry, but sweet. A lovely year really..

*He smiles quietly over at her*
This castle is one of my greatest Achievements..It can house over one thousand people, has a Full time Virtual Kitchen and Staff, and Can connect over five thousand people with little lag time and no draining on the body...It is the Epitome of my delving into the world of Alternate Realitys...

*He set down his glass and smiled broadly*

So tell me...As I am quite curious....are you self taught? and if not, who was your Mentor?

*Its obvious he ment hacking, he walked around the table, smiling curiously at her8

She moved to run her hands over a large bronze sculpture of a peacock. Everything from the ruffled metal of its feather to the tarnished name plate to the slight metallic sound it made when her rings brushed over the surface was so real...such strong attention paid to details...it was truly a marvel of programming. And the fact the artwork was by Auguste Nicholas Cain did nothing but add to the effect.

"Impressive, Mr. Hacker, quite impressive."

Accepting the glass, she sat facing him perched on the edge of the smooth leather chair. A few small sips let her know that this too was authentic, for although lighter and slightly less tart than the Johannisberg she usually preferred, the Chardonnay was true to it's origins. While she was busy contemplating the enormous task this mansion must have been, he went on to inquire about her background, a slightly touchy subject.

"Oh come now, you've surely read the files on me – probably know me better than I know myself. My father, of course, taught me just about everything I know. Now what your little files might have neglected to mention, he was renown in the ever so delicate field of acquiring fine artwork for no...personal cost, if you will. ‘pyKass0' or ‘bHOTacHELLy' ring a bell?"

She smiled at this, taking careful note of his reaction. It was nice to finally have someone appreciative enough to brag to about her father's accomplishments.

"Well there's my deep, dark secret...one of them, at least. Now tell me something about yourself...Who is really behind that cool facade, those dark insights, the ever-so-charming threats...?"

*he had grinned slowly at the mention of the infamous names*

Ah yes...pyKasso...I remember him, I do believe we met once when I was eight, and messing around with the Benson supercomputers...I found him to be the most intresting man, but didnt chase him further than his exploits...It was best not to delve into his business you see...

Ah. It is good to see someone who realizes the sheer brilliance of the place...took the better part of three years to make it...But worth every detail. You ought to see the Ballroom...Victorian Style, I even have enough classical music on file to make most great orchestra's Jellous..

*he smiled quietly* Yes I do have a ballroom. For more...ah....formal occassions..

*he chuckled and lent back against the rich wooden wall*

Yes, I've read your file, though they dont know half what you think they do. I however, know more. I've delved a little further than they did. Though what I know, is my secret.
*he tapped his nose grinning quietly*

Ah myself....A young Man who no one ever had the wit To Appricate. Shawn Williams, Born In London, England, But My mother moved to america before i was two. Created my first virus at age four, hacked into my first computer at 5. The rest, of course, is history. As a person, I take great pride in my skill. I enjoy fine wines, Fine music, and fine art. No woman, despite all of my skill, has ever expressed a whit of intrest in me.

*he shrugged quietly*

Ah but one cannot have everything....can one?

Queen of Hearts

"I've always wondered about you, Mr. Hacker. You were the topic of much heated debate in a series of computer etiquette & morals courses I took.
Art, music, & wine. Throw in a few expensive cars and you're set for life."

She smiled at this, without his admitting it she never would have pinned him as a bachelor. Perhaps it was his intensity...women tended to shy away from such personalities. But she had always been different...made every attempt she could to be different...and she found him not only appealing, but intriguing

"When am I going to get the grand tour?" she gestured vaguely at the many wide doorways and corridors leading away from his library-like room.

*he chuckled and grinned slowly over at her, picking up his glass and taking yet another slip*

Ah yes, the Grand tour, We'll keep to the highlights, maybe some day we'll have the time to do the entire mansion...

*he chuckled quietly, and pushed open the large oaken doors, that opened into the main hallway, Which had ten hallways on each side of it, and a Spiral, Marble Staircase that led up six floors, ending in a huge stained glass skylight, Depicting the Scene of The Battle of Ghettysburg in a very intresting way, a bit of light filtered in, lighting the hall in just a way that it seemed that much more massive, Many extremely famous paintings lined the walls, several works of art ran down the middle of the room, beneath their feet was a rich Velour carpeting that felt as if they were walking on air, he turned to her and smiled*
The Main Hall, the first part of the program I made, and therefore the most Refined. Originally The program consisted of this, and My office, which we were just in. Over time I perfected it, added guest rooms, and Many other intresting rooms....On the top floor is My Command Central, Currently not in use, where I had planned all of my major Hacking operations with various members of my Former Compatriots...It is currently set in the Style of the Four Horsemen, My last title as the Horseman-Of-Death. Three such hackers I had never worked with before.

*he sighed a little*
On the fifth floor is most of the guest rooms, the fourth consists of Excercise rooms, training rooms, and My Repository of Computer Viruses in dormant forms and well protected from the rest of the program. On the Third floor is the Main Library, Consisting of over sixty million books. On the Second floor are my Personal Apartments, as well as rooms..*he coughed* Pertaining to different intrests of mine...In the basement is the Olympic Swimming pool, the Wieght Room, and My Wine Cellar. as well as a Nice stock of foods and other such things. to the west is the Main CPU, where the Staff and cooks work out of. The Dining room, Ballroom, and Conservitory are all on this level...The front yard consists of eight hundred virtual acres of forestry, and the back yard consists of over fifty thousands miles of territory., except it Contains several mythical Races of life forms, such as elves, Dwarves and the like. I use it for my writings and other such things...now where to first?

*he grinned slowly at her stunned reaction*

Queen of Hearts

She was overwhelmed. How he could ever keep up with a program like this was...well...a miracle. She wouldn't have been the least bit suprised if he had pulled a map and compass out his back pocket when she chose her direction.

"I must admit the second floor peaked my interest...but then again, curiosity DID kill the cat. Shall we start with something less...intimate...say, the ballroom."

Trailing behind him, he lead her down corridor and passage, with more rooms than she could ever imagine a use for. Her boots were making the leisurely walk into a painful torture --- she wondered if he had dressed her like this on purpose. It seemed just up his alley.

*he chuckled slowly at her wince*

You can remove the shoes, the Carpet feels quiet nice actually..

*he pushes open two large wooden doors, Depicting a fierce swordfight, and inside was possibly the largest room she had ever seen, the cieling seemed to reach to the heavens, a Perfect Rendition of the roof of the Sixteen Chapel on one end, and on the other was a grand Mural, She might recognize it as depicting the full history of the dragonriders of Pern, The massive ballroom floor was a solid, well polished hardwood, several large tables were at each end, and currently a window washer was going over some of the larger Stained glass windows that appeared every few feet, they were Great works ranging from the Renniscance to The middle ages, even to Some aincent times, the strangest one was at the very end of the hall, He pointed to it*
That was the most difficult to make, it came out of a very old journal...It's Celtic, I think it was a Ritual of Fertility, but I was never quite sure. In any case, it is the grandest of them all I Think..

*The ballroom she might notice, could easily fit a small town within it and not be totally full. he grinned over at her*

You ought to see it when I hold one of my partys...

*He Clicked a switch on one wall, suddenly, to one end a whole group of musicians walked out, set up instruments on the orchestra stand, and began playing Bach's 1st Symphony, he grinned over at her, it sounded just as it would in real life, The Acoustics of the ballroom were marvelous*

Well? What do you think?

Queen of Hearts

Slipping off her boots, she let herself sink into the plush carpet. It was the apex of comfort, thick and soft brushing against the bottoms of her stockinged feet, cushioning each step.

Trying to keep up with his pace while examining the works of art lining the arched hallways was a task she wasn’t up too. Finally settling for catching only fleeting glimpses of the colors and shades of these masterpieces, they made their way to the ballroom.

Gilded doors depicting a hand-to-hand battle, circa 1730, towered above them. He took a deep breath before pushing them open in a grand flourish.

She was definitely going to have to change her opinion. Overwhelming wasn’t the right word for this...it defied description. It resembled the
majestic interior of Notre Dame, but even that great cathedral was dwarfed by this ballroom.

She would have been pleased, and highly impressed, just staring at this room. But when the tuxedoed orchestra members appeared, tuned up, and began to play she had to let out a gasp of admiration to show her appreciation of this wonder.

The interlaced wooden boards of golden chestnut, dark mahogany, earthy toned oak, and sharply contrasting redwood resonated with every note and very air around them seemed to vibrate with the passion filled music. These were not the caliber musicians you would expect for simulated human entities...they didn’t merely transfer digitally recorded sounds in a visually
appealing way...they played from their hearts.

“What do I think? I think this is the kind of music that definitely needs to be danced to.”
