This incident as Lashraloo would qualify as despicable though- Manu had to change the operation of the board so that it could never happen again.

BTW, anyone else wonder where MM has been for the last 3 or 4 weeks since the shit hit the fan and the women of the board got together to compare notes about his lies? He was a regular poster under MM, never away from the board more than a few days before mid-December. Do a search on his name and check it out.

Thank you again, Merlin. I suspected for the past month that you were a pathological liar who just didn't see the harm in your actions. Now I'm sure of it, based on your reaction. I believe I've already posted a small sample of your lies - see the portion of your email to me that I posted earlier in this thread and then contrasted what you said with what you actually did in reality. There were far worse lies, but they don't add anything to this thread's purpose of warning other women about you. I hope I've gotten that point across already.

"Defended irrationally"? Which of us sounds logical and which of us sounds irrational in this thread, Merlin? You may be able to justify your actions to yourself so that you can live with yourself after all you've done. All of us can fool ourselves for awhile for self-preservation when we need to. But you won't ever be able to justify your actions to me, Enchantress, or the other women involved.

Also, I don't expect anyone else to add to this thread- I said up front I was going to take the heat for speaking so that the others could stay in the background. You still don't understand that for some reason.

There are a lot of snakes on the net...I wouldn't get too worked up about it. I know that there are people hurting over this right now. Apparently, some more than others. I think people getting involved on the net is just as risky as anything else. Maybe more so. We tend to confide more, trust more, because the other person seems safe. They are far away, or it's just idle chatter to fill the time. The sad thing is, sometimes some people hold more to online relationships than others do.

I've had things both ways...I've had more feelings for some and I've broken some hearts.

I think that may have been what happened here. I don't know, because I do not have all the facts. I can only infer as to what happened from what I've heard. It seems that Enchantress held a lot to this relationship, if I read correctly, the two met IRL. Maybe MM didn't have those same feelings. He may have told her that he was developing feelings, or something along that line...and he may have outright lied, or he may have realized that he didn't feel the same after all.

I think we can all agree that we haven't got all the facts on this matter.

I am sure that what Cheyenne says is true. She sent him a picture, after a "getting to know you period". She says she thought they were developing a friendship. All of a sudden, he drops off the face of the earth. Yes, that would cause me to be suspicious as well. I am also sure that what Enchantress is saying is true. Again, I don't know all the details, as she has chosen to keep them to herself for now. She had the impression that there was more to this than a casual encounter.

I am hoping that the real MM will stand up for himself and admit or deny the accusations placed in front of us all. I don't know if you are making these "guest" posts, if it is you, please don't do it...you are making yourself look worse than if you'd just admit to playing a bunch of women (again, no accusations, just an example). If you need a sounding board, e-mail me.

And I know I'm going to catch hell for this, but I don't care. I've never had any contact with MM, I think I recall one instance where I got a reply from him...so I'm not caught in the "web of deceit".

Just a note to EVERYONE...there are a lot of people that do the things MM is accused of...men and women. They prey on the vulnerable and they play them until there is nothing left to play. Been there, done that...don't make yourself a victim. Stay cautious. Don't automatically assume someone is good because you saw their name posted on Lit. 1200 times...or because you've chatted for 3 years...anything can happen.
