Had one idea but then thought I would open it to more general ideas. So ideas set in a magic school or dark academia setting. Magic school is pretty self explanatory dark academia has a lot of overlap but it doesn’t necessarily have to have magic, it typically takes place before the 21st century.

Just wanted a thread to generate some ideas for both.

For example Magic School: BDSM story at a magic university. After a student bribes her instructor to make one of her classmates look bad. That classmate uses her own magic to dominate the student (like using rope magic to tie her up, transforming her wand into a vibrator, etc(


Dark Academia: ambitious student finds hints of a secret order at their school. Trying to prove their existence, they pull every trick available and stoop to any depravity to find them and join their ranks

For a longer example:

Magic school: to get into university, students have to use skills they already know. So when new student joins who is terrible at the formulae and academic portion, everyone wonders how they got there.

The student’s secret? They are experts of pleasure magic. So when they needed to get past a Minotaur, they gave him a painfully hard erection with an invasive thought spell that made them think of their last sexual partner and then used the “glory hole” spell to make a ribbed hole in wall the Minotaur got distracted humping.

Catch a teleporting pixie? They created an intricate web with their bondage spell that trapped it. Stop a crushing ceiling? They summoned “Maxwell’s two foot rod” and then pointed the rod up so they could crawl out.

But how will they fair in university with these spells?

I like the dark academia idea. I'd take it in a steampunk direction. A gifted student perfects the clockwork vibrator and is instantly a pretty popular fellow.

There are eldritch forces in the world, and many superstitions are tangibly real, but most people just live their lives in mundane ways. The college isn't a magic school per se, but it has some dark history and secrets that are ripe for exploration.

And also it was an excuse to invent a collegiate sport that wasn't strictly magical... Until some very specific conditions are met

There was a series I quite liked the premise of, set at a university where the students were taught mind control.

The stories (three of them, I think) were set during a time of the year when the students were allowed to put what they'd learned to practical use and enslave each other and/or local non-students.

By and large, I found the premise and setting better than the execution, but it may inspire you.
