Makeup...your thoughts.

Personally, I think 'natural' is beautiful. I wear just a little make-up when i go out. Nothing more then to tone down the redness of my cheeks that I've been cursed with. What I wear contrast with my skin tone. What I think is just terrible...is those women who wear their make-up like a mask. They use so much that you can actually tell where they left off on their chin. I also don't care much for a variety of colors. Just my 2 cents though.

a little to accent parts of your look is cool. but most people wear too much when they get made up for something.

Looking pretty

I wear make up usually only whem I am trying to impress somebody or going to a party or dance. I just wear some lipstick and eye shadow for everyday.

I use makeup not as a cover-up, to create a mask, but rather to enhance what I'm wearing, or as an accessory.

Color is fun. Color is always fun.
And a little teal eyeliner to match a sweater is fun.

Whenever i see a woman who has spackled on a lot of makeup, i end up feeling she's a bit insecure... like she's hiding behind it... it says to me she needs a lot of war paint to cover up what she perceives as flaws.

My best friend wears a moderate amount of makeup. We like to swim laps together at the YMCA. Afterwards I am always amazed by her beauty without any makeup. I tell her constantly not to wear any. Amazingly, she looks 10 years younger without it... she's pushing 40, and looks like a teen when we get out of the pool.

That said, i use makeup. But sparingly.

I use it for 2 reasons... to hide flaws like blemishes... and to highlight and accent my good features. I don't really use foundation anymore, just a little powder and blush. If I spend any time on makeup at all, it's on my eyes, because I feel like they're my best feature and i like to highlight them.

ps. If women are going to wear mascara, they need to break down and buy a good brand! Huge clumps of mascara on a woman's lashes... not cool.
