Ok, I know there are bucket loads of posts about shaving/hair removal (If nothing else because I've posted in most of them). what I haven't seen is a great deal of advice about waxing your bits from a male point of view.

I guess my questions are:

1) Are any of the standard waxing kits (veet etc) suitable for trying to do your bits?

2) if it is simple enough to DIY, how do you sort out the sack?

3) If its not a great idea to do it yourself, how do you approach a salon about it? I'm assuming most salons will refuse, being geared for the ladies and all, but will they give a referral to someone who will do it?

For the good of the howto forum I'm prepared to bite on beef jerky and use candle wax and and old bedsheet but I'm assuming there are better and safer ways of doing it.

Check your yellow pages in your phone book for salons/spas. Look at the ads and look for the ones that offer services for males.

I know in my city we have a salon/spa just for men, no females allowed. I've heard of these popping up everywhere. You may just be able to find one.

Good luck! :rose:

Gah, my spelling sucks today...

*slaps forehead* think I have at least found one place in home town that will do it (yay google). Kits from chemists are still a hell of a lot cheaper though, so primary interest is still how to do it myself.

Hmmm, I've never been waxed (actually have my first appt. coming up) but I would suggest getting it professionally done the first time. Then you know what to expect, can kind of get a handle on how it's done if you want to do it yourself.

Just my advice, but don't lean too heavily on it, like I said, I actually have never waxed before. ;)

Probably not a bad idea, but I cant really imagine that trial and error with Wax can be much worse than with magic.

Let me know how the waxing goes.

Will do. Going for the full Brazillian, hoping it doesn't hurt like a bitch. lol

Not sure that my privates are more sensitive than yours, but I can give you a clue how it feels once it's all done with. :)

If the legs are anything to go by, think of the public impression of what it should be like and everything should be fine. Started leg waxing after a charity wax the men session (is this it") which I got roped into.

As we seem to be having a conversation here, what's you opinion? Wax it or let it grow?

Definetely wax. :p

I love a clean-shaven/waxed dick. Makes for nicer blowjobs and more sensitive for him during sex.

I know that when my husband and I are both shaved, it's one of the most awesome experiences. The bareness of it drives both of us wild. I can feel so much more when I'm shaved.

Is hubby able to wave the magic mach III screaming, "dont make me wax" or is it a double booking?

As a slight aside, is this something you would have done if you were still single?

Is the hairless argument a solely male quandry. I cant lie and say I haven't seen the odd dirty photo, and I can help notice that the average male must be conditioned to thinking that the female of the species is, if not hairless, then at least natuarly braziallian about the saddlebags.

Actually, he shaves. I leave it up to him. I do prefer him hairless, but he does decide how often he does it. A little hair never hurt anyone either. :)

And yeah, I still woulda gone for a wax if I was still single. Thing is, I HATE shaving. With a passion... lol

I was always really nervous about it and just finally worked up the courage.

For me, hairless was the way to go. It felt more 'natural' to me than being natural. (If that makes any sense at all...)

I actually started shaving when I was a teenager, and granted, I don't do it every few days like some do, I do like to keep it rather trimmed and short if I'm not shaving.

Like I said, I hate shaving, so if I don't hafta do it, I'm not gonna. :p

Fair enough.

I was an early convert, later adherent to the shaving carve.

I prefer it for a variety of reasons. I like the look, I like the feel (hooo, I love the feel) and I like the doing.

If you haven't (i'm guessing you probably have), do hubby or vice-versa just before. omg, that just shaved is something else

Question time again, where you (and hubby) shavers before you met each other?

I was, he wasn't. ;)

Guess it just took the right woman to get him to take a razor to his boys.

He does love it though. I know that he doesn't just do it for me. He likes the feeling.
