Katie sighed as she walked down the crowed streets her tiny 5 foot frame get lost in the sea of sailors and marines that had no doubt just come a shore for their limited leave. Katie had always had a fasination with men in military uniforms, but she never seemed to meet the right one. She always ended up used for sex when all the 21 year old wanted was her knight in green camouflaged uniform.

Katie continued to push her way through the crowed streets when someone ignorant woman knocked her forcefully to the ground. "ugh if my day couldn't get any worse" Katie thought as she pushed her silky red hair away from her pale cheeks.

Will had always been your clean cut Marine, with brown hair and brown eyes he wouldn't normally be distinguishable from his fellow Marines. until he saw a small woman with red hair knocked to the ground, he quickly ran over and offered his hand to help her up.

"Ma'am, are you all right?" he asked with a concerned look on his face.

Katie looked up slightly flushed that someone was talking to her. She suddenly became shy as she looked up into the most intoxicating brown eyes she had ever seen.

"oh I'm okay, I can safely say ive had worse." she mumbled as she took the marines hand and accepted his kind gesture of help.

He helped this small read haired beauty to her feet. his eyes locking with hers for a moment before he looked away, a little nervous about talking to a girl, he wasn't really good with women, apart from his higher ranking officials if they ever spoke to him.

"I can honestly say that you look lie you'd be telling the truth on that one, My name is Billy, if your not busy tonight, would you like to maybe go to dinner, I have a month of leave time, my C.O. said that I am ordered to take some time off since I've been putting off my leave for awhile now, I guess I like to ocean a little too much."

he chuckled a little. "sorry, I've been babbling so much that I didn't even ask you name, sorry for my rudeness." he cursed at himself in his head, he was making a fool of himself again in front of another beautiful woman.

Katie smiled and admired his nervousness "hey it's okay Billy I'm Katie and yeah being small is tough but in answer to you question I would love to go to dinner."

Katie felt a warm feeling Cruise through her body from his touch it was only heightened as he became shy around her. In Katie's experience most marines treat her like shit and always had a front up around her

He smiled timidly when she said it was okay. "Katie, I really think that name suits you, I'm not sure why, maybes its your red hair or maybe its because my Grandma's name is Katie and shes about the same height as you." He chuckled nervously at his silly excuse for a joke.

he was trying the settle his nerves a little by making her laugh, if he could make her laugh then maybe he had finally found a woman that could stand to be around him for more than ten minutes at a time.

Katie chuckled softly "Billy relax, no need to be so nervous." she soothed softly as she admired his crisp uniform and standard haircut. She guessed he was a marine that had a heart and was in the same boat as her

He smiled as she spoke with a voice that only an angel could possess and he looked at her pale skin and her red hair, and he looked into her eyes when he said a little more confidently. "so, where would you like to have dinner." he had no idea where to take a girl, it had been so long since he had taken any girl out.

"come on solider let this girl take you to the sweetest place ever" she chuckled as she held out her hand.

She knew the most appropriate place to take Billy and it wasn't because it was romantic but because it was her families place.

he took her delicate hand in his hand let her lead the way. "alright, I'll pay for whatever you want to eat, it'll be nice feeding somebody other than myself." he laughed, maybe a little too much at this statement.

His laugh was infectious and it made Katie genuinely smile as the walked the busy streets "So how long you in town for?" she asked. Curiously as the waited to cross the traffic filled streets.

Th

"well, I have a month off and honestly I was going to stay at the base, I don't really have a home, my father died when I was 5 and my mother passed after I graduated high school, that's when I became a Marine."
he looked at the walk signal change and they began walking, he held back a stream of tears when thinking of his parents, it was something that was always painful to think about.

Katie felt for him she could safely say that she had never felt that kind d of pain and with the way Billys demeanour had changed she didn't want to feel that pain but what she did want to do was to hold him and take away his pain

when they reached the other side of the street he shook his head and wiped his eyes. "so, has man actually discovered which came first, the chicken or the egg." he forced a laugh out of himself as he tried to change the topic, he knew if he didn't, he would've been crying in front of this wonderful woman.
