Married to a swan

Hopefully nicer than real swans, which are vicious buggers who deserved to be punted over the interstate.

Though that could be played for comedic effect. She can go from human to anthro swan to full swan and all the in-betweens, but the closer to full swan she gets, the more ornery and territorial and bitey 🤔

This feels very Greek legend to me. Perhaps a hoplite warrior is wounded in battle and having seen enough abdominal wounds knows he's only got a few days before infection will kill him. He walks into the forest to die on his own terms, and after walking for many painful miles, arrives at a beautiful waterfall. There he finds a majestic swan, beset by a pack of wolves. He springs into action and saves the swam, killing or driving off the pack and after the danger has passed, collapses on the mossy bank of the stream.
When the sun sets, the swan transforms into a beautiful woman and he's enchanted. His pain seems to disappear, and her grateful kisses arouse him, and they spend a wonderful night together. In the morning, the swan again transforms into her animal form, and the warrior meets his end without pain, the swan's wings spread wide over him, her tears upon his face.
Having received the swan's blessing, he is met in the afterlife by the goddess Persophone herself who escorts him personally from Hades to the Elysian Fields. A heroes reward.

Oh, God damnit, she's Lost Girl's version of Zeus!
