He sits at work with his old cell phone and is quite worried for you cause he loves you so much.

Marie

Helen had to laugh at her brother he was being a worry wort they just got home so she was a little sick not the end of the world Marie's had worce. but to see him leave like that Marie sort of looked so very disappointed.

"Marie you really did fall in love with Chris didn't you out there? He's a great guy but got a temper as you just saw. he's a hard work and dedicated to his job guess that's why they mad him admiral. But you just got back they should have at least gave him one day to get relaxed he just got home for Christ sake."

Marie only smiled and nodded she was truly in love with her brother and she had to agree she wished Chris was with her now but knew work was importune to him and she would not stand-in the way. But this doctor thing why was he freaking over it was only one day?

"Helen, I need to get out of this bed IM got air sick that's it im not deathly ill with the flue lets look around the house its so huge what am I going to do with all these room. Hey maybe you can move in we always had fun together what do you say?"

Helen thought about it a moment then shook her head. " na... Chris would kill me and besides you to need your time alone you just got Marie I'm sure you two can fill this house up just fine."

The door bell rang and it was the doc from the infirmary she smiled when he called her Mrs. Hubert but hey it was her new name. Helen let the doc in and Marie followed down to the living room sit-in sitting on the new couch hell everything was new to her.

"I'm Doctor Madison Mrs. Hubert, your Husband called me The Admiral sounded pretty worried and said it was urgent that I come right away where you under some sort of distress or something?" He looked at her trying to figure what the urgency was she looked fine to him.

"I'm so sorry Doctor Madison but Chris gets a little on the jumpy side where i am concerned.. you see we just got back from our honeymoon today matter of fact and well i got air sick on the plan and after i got home he thins i contracted some deadly vireos out in Hawaii or something" She had to chuckle" I'm fine truly and I' m so sorry to have had you come out for an upset tummy." The doc smiled a n nodded he had heard that there was a new Admiral on base a young buck and his new wife he grinned understanding the mans worry but he was plight.
It's OK Mrs. Hubert, I get paid one way or the other I might as well look you over even if only to calm down the new Admiral. He knelt down at her side doing the normal, heart, lungs, ear, nose and throat, eyes, reflexes."All seems well enough any complaints other then an upset tummy?" Marie looked to both him and Helen and she shrugged slightly.

"Well, I have been very tired of late feel sort of ya know blaa... but I did just get back from over a month in Hawaii none stop fun and doing many different things and my life has changed I have never been married before."

Helen laugh she old not even want to imagine what Chris had her doing that whole time. The doctor had the same thoughts but he was a professional so he only nodded and jotted
things down." OK Marie well let me take some blood and I'll run it thought the lab make sure all well and good im sure its just the excitement and all maybe your anemic you do look a might pale I will call you in a few hours with the results."

The man left Chris called like three times to see how she was doing and what the doc said Helen told him they said she looked fine and the doc would call with the results of her blood word later she might e anemic nothing he did. Well, three housed later the phone rang and Helen picked it up then handed the phone to Marie when the doc asked to speak to her.

"Hello doctor Madison how are you..... yes, ... no one throwing up I feel just fine ... Ys still tired like I could take a nap ... what where the results ... oh. I am anemic then..." The look on Marie face was frozen almost as Helen narrowed her brow looking at her the silence hung in the air till Marie blinked and added," it's sometimes normal when what ... no. It can't be...I'm ... wholly shit I can' t be..... but doctor we just got married...... are you sure absolutely positive? OK doctor I will thank you." She hung up the phone and looked at Helen that as tugging on her shirt sleeve by now.

"What is it Marie are you all right what's wrong your pale as a ghost. Marie tell m what he said or I'm calling Chris and telling him to come home right now..."

Marie had this panicked look in her eyes as she looked back to Helen ..." he said I was anemic and ... know. It's wrong I can't ... no.," tears ran down her face fear gripped to her eyes as she bite her bottom lips then looked to Helen and started to laugh. The looked changed from day to night in a heart beat." Marie what the hell is going on your scaring me."

Maria looked to her and wiped her tears and sniffled ...He's going to hate me ... he's going to want t o throw me out the door he donees need this not yet not now.. oh Helen what am i going to do" she ran crying up to the main bedroom locking her self in the room and throwing her self n the bed crying.. then she moved to the bathroom locking the dor sitting in the shower it was like she was trying to hide or something. Helen kept banging on the door trying to get in but Marie would not answer her then she her Marie getting sick again ... that was enough she called Chris telling him what happen and he should come home right away.

Chris

He is speaking to a few other officers and he heard his cell phone ring, he looked to it and he thought in his mind that something was wrong, he excused himself from the other officers and walked outside and he picked up his phone.

“Hello, oh hi Helen is everything ok?..Uh huh I will be home in a minute. Yes everything is ok, I am fine.”

He told the officers that he had to run home and take care of something, he ran and hopped in the hummer and drove off with it, he would probably get in trouble, but he didn’t care, he sensed that something was wrong and he had to be there by Marie’s side. He took the hummer and went at maxim speed all the way home, he finally got home and he ran and burst through the door and ran upstairs right by Helen and he looked to her.

“Helen do you know what is going on, what is wrong with my wife? Where is she? I dont know what I am going to do if this is my fault. Maybe I should not have taken her to Hawaii, she must have caught some kind of virus up there. I should call the hospital and have them prep a room, damn, why couldnt this have happen to me instead of her, its not fair.”

Helen> "Chris, you need to calm down, she is in the bathroom and she has locked herself in there, go to her and find out what is wrong. Give me your cell phone as well, I dont want you to do anything that doesnt need doing."

Chris looked to his sister and turned away and dropped his cell phone on the ground and quickly walked to the door of the master bathroom. Helen went and picked his cell phone up and walked downstairs. Chris walked and took a smoke out of his case and lighted it and started to smoke in a nervous way. He knocked the door to the bathroom and called out to you.

"Marie, its me, tell me what is wrong. Are you ok?"


You could hear his heaving breathing through the door and he sounded very scared.

You could tell that Chris was on the verge of a mental breakdown cause he was so nervous for your health, there was no one else on this planet that he loved more, and he would not see you in pain or in sickness without him trying to help you. You could hear him speak through the door, but it didnt sound like he was talking to you. Every bad thing imaginable was going through his mind and he wished it would happen to him instead of you.

“Please, take me instead, don’t infect her body, just take mine, she does not deserve this, I have killed many and I deserve this. Please I love her, and I want her to live a long life. Please take me.”

It sounded like he was praying to you; Helen stood in the doorway and shook her head. Chris was so scared for you.

Marie

Marie just sat there crying till chriss had enought he backed up and looked at his sister. " Helen go down stairs i will let you know whats going on as soon as I find out. Now women! " Helen shook he head hearing him but she would grant them privacy . then she heard it chriss bashed thought the bathroom door. seeing his wife on the floor of the shower sobbing. Marie looked up to him listening to his babbling half understanding what he was saying half not she sat up and looked to him grabbing hold tight.

"Chris... I'm sorry...I guess I didn't think it would happen so fast I should have done something to stop it. your going to be so mad at me I know it your gone to hate me think I trapped you but I didn't I swear it I didn't."

Tears again flooded her cheeks as she held tight to him then she pulled him down to sit on the floor with her, "The Doctor called back ... they took tests and he knows what's wrong..." she thought about what he was rattling off he things its something he gave her and said he would take it back if she wasn't so scared to death of his reaction she would have burst into laughter.

"Chris I didn't mean for this to happen, I never meant for it really I'm sacred and I'm afraid to tell you. I don't want you to leave me.

All he could do was sit there and stare at her nodding listening to her but trying to calm his own heart beat from pounding right out of his chest. He did manage to get out.

"What is it tell me I want to know so I can fix it."

She sniffled and looked at him wiping her tears from her eyes ... then she stood up and walked to the bed shaking her head. I don't know how to tell you this?" Helen was listening down at the bottom of the steps she was waited for both seeing her brother reaction to just her phone call what could it be that got Marie all upset like this she doesn't freak out quickly at things even important things Marie was always so calm cool and collective.

Chris hurried over to her and sat down on the bed beside her took her by both shoulders and not shook her but pulled her sharply to him

," Tell me Marie I have a right to know. What ever it is we will work thought it."

She blinked not use to being told like that or hearing that tone of voice from him. It was a voice of authority one she guessed he used when talking to his men from the navy.

"Chris. The doctor took tests and said the results where positive... Chris..I....Were.. me and you ... Where gone to have a baby, I'm pregnant. just barely a month but as pregnant as I can be ... that's why I was sick... Chris ... say something. Chris ... please... Chris!" She stared now back at him waiting fro him to blow waiting fro him to tell her to get the hell out.

Chris

He heard the news and it hit him like a freight train, he looked back and he feinted, he fell back and hit the ground hard. He was sorting through millions and millions of thoughts, he could not believe she was pregnant, he was so happy that this was happening, but on the other hand Chris didn’t know what kind of father he could or would be. He didn’t know what to do. He was a Admiral, and his life would be flooded with work and he didn’t know how to deal with that and work, no he had to think a different way, he was going to have a son or a daughter now and that would be his life, his new life. What would Marie think that I would hate her and leave her, I must have done something to make her think that way, but now that I think about it, where am I now? I hope I didn’t feint and hit my head and now I am dying; that would suck. My father raised me to be in the navy, but I don’t want to do that to my kid. My life in the navy has been hard and long and sometime not worth the trip. I had no idea of what to do with kids or how to care or raise them, what if I messed up or what if I died in my job, than what? There was to many questions. The only thing he knew was, that he loved Marie and would have to figure this out.
