I think we started to get one together when I was living there but it never panned out - I could make it to one next summer {I will be out there then at least for a visit if not moved back there} IF there is interest

Let's try to keep this thread active and see if there is any interest

Well I may not be a Marylander (anymore), but I'd see about making it up there. And really, there doesn't need to a bunch of people. If only a handful of people show up, it'd make getting to know everyone that much easier.

Same here. In large groups I tend to just blend into the background. Small groups at least I can pay attention to whats going on and maybe get into the conversation. lol I'm a normally very quiet person.

Well once I get comfortable, and (especially) after a couple of drinks, any shyness and quiet reserve just disappears.

lol That would all depend on what sounds were being made. I've always gotten to know people better just by spending time with them. Don't know why that is, but it's just how I am. Odd, I know.

I agree - I prefer in person meetings myself... probably why I am not big into yahoo or the likes *shrug* but who am I to meet out here in BFE

Yeah. I mean sure, there are some people that I can connect with online, but that's far from the norm. And I can't say for out there, but when you get out here I should have transportation of my own so you can definitely meet me.

It will most likely be next summer before I get to come home - for a visit or to stay I can't say right now

Well I would certainly hope that by next Summer I'd have my own car, so whether you come for a visit or to stay, I should be able to make my way up there for a meet and greet, barring work issues.
