McMartin Pre-School Revisited

In this backwater I live in, it is currently in vogue to call Child Protective Services when a friend has pissed you off, regardless of how well they actually take care of their children.

I have a friend who had this done to her by someone that she had considered a friend. They got into a disagreement of some sort, and the next thing she knew, CPS was knocking on her door.

I understand that they have to investigate every allegation, but there should be something in place that punishes those that use it as their own persoanl revenge service.
It's like that here also Cloudy , I went through a four year period where after pissing several family members off and getting away from my ex husband I was investigated end to end every month, as soon as one would end, another would start, after awhile we just had coffee and chatted , the only report ever made that was founded was made by me, for help when I was beat up pretty bad and wanted legal help to make sure the ex did not come back . but the people making all the wild claims were able to continue to do so , regardless of how manty times they had been proven to be false before , people around here live in fear of the DSS ,because sometimes they do rush in and take children , and ask questions later

My sister is a lawyer who represents children in all kinds of situations. There are a lot of ninnies in the "Child Protective" biz. You need prudence, but people lose sight too easily of the interest of the child.
