A friend of mine recently cut her hair - she's gone from having (almost) a full-on dykemullet to having a buzz cut. She drinks lager. I don't think she even owns a skirt. She owns a suit of leather armour and takes great delight from hitting things with swords. And on top of that she's intelligent and can cope with the use of irony in everyday conversation.

I don't know if my experiences match yours or not, but I am often drawn to lesbian women, real or portrayed.

Often when watching a TV show or movie with lesbian characters I find at least one of them to be irresistable. For example, and I am "crossing threads here", the "Shane" character on "The L Word" is one of the most incredible women I've ever seen. And the character is more desirable than Katherine Moennig herself.

In real life, I was disapointed when Ellen "came out", as I think she is quite beautiful, and even though there would be no way for a regular person to ever be with a celebrity, it was still sad to see her become doubly unavailable.

I don't know what it all means though.
