Posters here are somewhat replacable, because they are a group. One will compliment you, and then fade away, another will take his place, but in the lightly flirting flow you don't have to deal with individuality or people changing their minds, all that much. Alas outside the screen we have fears, doubts, hopes, and plenty of attachment to all of these that we tend to nourish over what's actually there. Sorry you got dropped by a guy who thought he might like you, just when you thought you might like him. One on one is a lot harder to maintain and grow in the face of differences. Everyone is immature until they learn -- and it takes a hell of a lot longer to get there, and more tough kicked-in-the-guts lessons, than the kids who've only played for a few years think.
