I left for awhile, too. I understand where she's coming from. I miss her like hell, too, but I don't blame her at all. If she's doing the best thing for herself, it's not for us to judge.

And for the record, I'm thrilled that she's back together with him. If anybody here lets it get out that I'm secretly a hopeless romantic at heart, I'll get homicidal, but something about love against all odds that makes me happy. So sue me.

....i like the thought of love against all odds too but i've also heard "you should never go back", but my demeanor is off and on the pessimistic side tonight

I tend to be pessimistic, too, but some of the stuff I've seen lately has kind of made me lean the other way a bit.

I really don't think you'll find anyone here that wishes bad things for her. If someone does, I think they will keep it quiet. I sure wish the best for her...although I do wish she would have taken me up on one of my MANY offers.

See? I'd like to read her blog, if I even knew she had one. But, if it's deleted, I can't. That's so strange, that she keeps her former friends from knowing she's happy. If this thread hadn't been here, I could think any number of bad things...even death.

No, not the Island guy but apparently, the guy she was online with for years, in a hopeful but somewhat emotionally painful relationship.

Sheesh, it is taking me ages to catch up on all I have missed while I was away. The one she is now with again was someone who she was with online for a couple of years, and who kept promising to meet but never did and always made an excuse from what she told me, often along the lines that it was because she wasn't ready yet. Last time I spoke to her I was rather blunt and asked if as he had been in her neighbourhood just before recontacting her (and once again not arranged to meet), and had renewed the relationship at the cost of the one she was happily exploring at that time, if she had met the elusive Dom yet....there was no answer which to me bodes badly in that I assume the reason there was no answer is he is still keeping her waiting.

Hope I am wrong, but I don't like how he treated her and lead her on before, nor how he waltzed back into her life without warning and ruined the relationship she was in and expressed the desire she remove herself from Lit, as well as most of her posts. I sincerely hope she has met him by now and he is all she hoped he was going to be, but I get a feeling that is far from the reality. Of course, when she left Lit once before she actually continued under another username so though she swore that would not be the case this time, perhaps she is amongst us as we all live and breath and wonder where she is and if she is OK.

Yep, she waited, waited, did everything he asked and he kept putting off meeting her...I suspect he is still doing the same given he was close to her place and didn't contact her until he was far far away again....sure hope not as she has already wasted a couple of years on him. Life is too short to be kept waiting years to meet someone you might have a future with.

Cool. I know a handful of details really. I'm very wary of "online romances" and admit I have a certain bias there. But she's a smart lady, and hopefully she can figure it out. I really just wish her happiness.
