Of course, next January, I would have vacation days and my parents' lake house for whoever was willing to brave the cold--it sleeps seven if they're relatives, more if they're friends.

Should we plan part one for November in Milwaukee and part two for January or February in Ohio?

I would do what I could to attend both...

The lake house is in a teensy little town that pretty well shuts down once summer is over, but I love cold weather and playing in the snow. We'd have to take turns cooking dinner, as most of the restaurants are closed, but I'm sure I can't be the only decent cook in the bunch!

Could be. Takes me about 6 hours to get to Detroit. But that's not far, I don't think. But I like to drive. I could use an excuse to break in my car anyway.

And I love to cook, especailly for large groups.
