I wish I lived close enough to do that every day. I hope to retire much closer to the lake.

I hope you get to be close to water. I’ve never lived away from the ocean. When I was a child it was the North Atlantic. Now it’s the pacific. I’m never more than a short drive away and that’s how it will be as long as I have a say in it.

Oh, I couldn't agree more. Live had a song, Run To the Water - it's my personal anthem. I've had to live in the Plains and the foot of the Rockies, but I always needed to return "home."

My entire family knows I want my ashes entrusted to the water at the end.

Your words and images are some of the most beautiful things I've encountered. I adore your spirit.
