Sayori's theory was met with a little 'hm' as Cora took it in, wondering about it herself. She didn't have too much time to think on it, however, as soon the other women was turning in her chair to show her back.
At first, Cora was a bit confused. It didn't look like a wound at all, but rather, as if the little lady had simply fallen asleep in the sun and gotten a very unique sunburn. And when she turned back in her chair and raised her hand, Cora leaned forward slightly to look with curiosity, though slight hesitation as well.
As Sayori went on to explain what the discoloration really was, her horror and empathy grew, her face twisting with pain upon hearing what had been done to Sayori. Why had she been whipped so harshly? Was it really just to send Damien a message? Or was it because she was simply an object to him, at that time? Not yet important enough to give much thought to, but not so useless as to simply throw away either. That had to be it, otherwise, why would he have bothered to use her for experimentation?
"Sayori..." her pained voiced spoke quietly. She wanted to get up and go to her, to wrap her up in hug, and she was considering doing just that as her body started to move up off of the chair. But, just as she was getting her feet ready to reach the floor, her eyes flicked up and caught Niles silhouette as he was walking by the window. It made her hesitate and sit back down, her eyes flicking back to the table between them. The little women had suffered enough-she didn't need the condensation of his sneer right now.
"I'm so sorry" she said quietly, trying to keep their conversation a bit more quiet and just between the two of them. For a moment after that, she didn't know what else to say. Taking another sip of her tea, she then sat it down with a little sigh.
"How did you come up with the name for your bar?" she finally asks, trying to steer the conversation towards something a bit more safe.
