Sayori had no idea the true relationship between Quinton, Cora and Kuznet, so she assumed the last part of his sentence was just a generality. He was sorry that all of this was happening to her, to them. Sorry he couldn't do anything to free her.
She shook her head, "don't be sorry. You were touching me because you had to, to protect someone you loved. If you hadn't, then all of us would probably have been punished anyway. And... it's okay. You've done a lot for me since I came here, more than most would have for a girl they had never met. You have a good heart, Quint. Don't ever lose that."
The girl was quiet for a moment before asking, "was that your sister? She was like you, but like a woman version. The man near her... I know him. That's why the General decided to keep me here."
--------------------------------------
Sabastian made sure to stay a little ways away from Vin as he smoked. While it wasn't a fire, a cigarette might possibly light him up as well. He couldn't sense people the way he could zombies, but he tried smelling with his nose, closing his eyes.
"No, I can't make out anyone other than us, but I could be wrong. If there are people nearby, then they're definitely not wearing any strong scents." The blonde shrugged, then started walking away into the woods, his ass unintentionally swaying a little bit as though to invite Vin to follow him further away.
Damien recognized why Vin was asking and was secretly glad he had. It was definitely better to know if there was someone lingering about. It was entirely possible that there were soldiers around even if Sabastian couldn't smell them. The soap they used was made for the express purpose of making them difficult to smell, so he wouldn't be surprised if there was an operative always keeping an eye on them.
However, when the answer was no, he relaxed a bit, turning to Cora and smiling. Walking over to her, he slid his hand from the small of her back to her hip, pulling her beside him as he leaned over. "Do you have a bathing suit, or are you going to be swimming as nature intended?" He nipped her ear gently before leading her away toward the water.
