The question took him a bit off guard, and his puffy eyes looked down at her, and then away as he thought about how to answer. He was glad she hadn't asked about his wife, though, as he didn't think he would have been able to talk about that. Quint wasn't sure when he would be able to talk about that, honestly. Perhaps never, as they had so barely escaped Kuznet before.
He leans his head back against the wall and lets his eyes roam up to the bars that he had hung from before, still intact. The question wasn't an easy one, as, his best memories were from early childhood and somewhat hard to remember, or... with Sarah...
After a moment, he let's out a little sigh and starts to speak.
"She's very kind. Not in that fake sort of way, or that way that people sometimes people put on when they're just trying to be polite. Hers is a very real and down to earth type of kindness, and she tries to treat everyone with the same amount of respect, even if she doesn't particularly like them. She has this...way of seeing past peoples fronts. Maybe it's because of everything we've been through, but she can just read people so easily, usually."
His eyes squint a bit and he furrows his brows a little, thinking once more about the picture he had seen. He had known her his whole life, literally, and she had never read someone wrong since they were very, very young.
"Actually..." he says quietly, his eyes coming down to meet Sayoris.
"Not usually. I've never known her to judge someone wrong, so it's, really confusing to me..."
Quint clears his throat and looks back up at the bars again, moving the conversation along before Sayori really has a chance to answer that. He didn't want her to feel like he was doubting her in anyway about what she had told him, because he didn't. Not at all. It was just, perplexing.
"Anyways, fun memories? She gave this guy a black eye once. Clocked him really good too, courtesy of me teaching her how to throw a punch correctly."
He grinned a little then, obviously proud by what he had taught her.
"But of course, Cora being Cora, she felt bad afterwards and brought the guy an ice-pack afterwards and apologized to him."
A little laugh worked it's way up his chest and he shook his head, recounting the memory.

He took his time with the song, enjoying the way it filled the air and added to the peaceful sounds of the forest and echoed off the lake. Of course, he kept looking over at Sabastian during most of it, smiling a little between pauses as he saw the way his cheeks had taken on that beautiful blush once again. Once it was done, he leaned down and kissed Sabastian on the top of his head, enjoying his cool little body so close to his own.
"Do you know any country?" Cora asked after the pause.
"Quite a bit actually. You want like nineties popular stuff, or more like Colter Wall?"
She sat up a little and looked over at him with a smile.
"Ooh! Colter Wall! Devil Wears a Suit and Tie."
Vin looked over his shoulder at her and gave a nod.
"Alright. It won't be quite as good without the drum, but I think I can make it work. Just don't laugh at my goofy faces; I gotta feel it, you know?"
He gave hardy little laugh himself, and then looked down at the strings. Before he started to strum, he tapped his hand on the metal a few times to get the beat started, trying to remember. Then he started to play.

"Well... Reverend reverend, please come quick.
Cause I got something, to admit..."
