Mr. Limpet or Dr. Moreau?

I don't know what the original poster of the other thread has in mind, but non-consensual sex is allowed on Literotica as long as the victim derives some pleasure from the sex. Being turned into a mermaid against one's consent is allowed on Literotica, whether or not the victim derives any pleasure from becoming a mermaid.

Personally, I'm in favour of mermaids just starting as mermaids.

I think what you use depends on the story you are crafting. Either can work for a myriad of stories. I don't think either one should replace what we already have, though. It's more of the style of presentation than a category to me.

I like the fantasy angle. It could be an erotic nod to Hans Christian Anderson.

Having written this story twice now… my angle was: life’s a bitch and there are some rich bastards out there.

At least that way, there is a possibility that whatever caused it could reverse itself and return them to normal.
If I wrote the story the mermaid/s (who wouldn't, of course be mother and daughter) would be given the choice to turn back into humans and go back to their normal life at the end. Which they'd decline.

By the way, are you just a troll? If not, why did you start this thread? What positive, supportive conversation are you actually looking to achieve?

The op specifically asked to take this off board so they didn't get bullied by kink-shamers, they only posted after being assured this was a safe space, and yet here you are starting a thread about their thread, and there's not much point to your thread other than you giving you a fresh soapbox to, once again, point out that you object to Lit allowing incest, non-con and and so forth.

Thank you, Katie Mae, I really appreciate your comment. It makes me feel less bad about myself.

I was worried that this would happen if I posted my ideas. It's awful because I feel ashamed of having these story ideas, but it helps me cope with shit.

Thanks for the understanding.

The forum can be a tough place for the uninitiated. Just relax, you didn't do anything wrong. Your kinks, while unusual, are far from being the most extreme we've seen or discussed here.

It's all fine. You go and pursue your kinks and share them with your readers. The only judges of what's allowed and what isn't are the website admins, and you'll know whether they approve or not when your story gets published or gets rejected. And don't allow yourself to be kink-shamed. Everyone here is a pervert of a sort, even the ones who like to moralize.

Thank you! I genuinely appreciate you and Katie Mae taking the time to help me like that.

I would never do anything non-consensual in real life or anything in my stories, I just want to say that. I actually work in science and try to help people and improve their lives.

As I've said, I just had a traumatic past and I found that writing really helps me, particularly writing darker stories, just takes my mind off things.

I actually used to just lurk on this forum and ask other writers to write me stories based on my ideas (on a side note are there any authors from way back who I asked to write stories for me still here?) but eventually I started writing my own.

I just want to get more involved with the community on the forum as you all seem like nice people and I want to engage more with the site.

So, again thank you for your post, I genuinely appreciate it and I hope that you and Katie Mae have a great day / night in whatever time zone you both live one. Please know that I was heartened by your responses ❤️

Yours sincerely,
Al

Writing dark themes because it's a way of coping with past experiences is not unique to you, by which I mean to come across as "you're not alone". The whole concept of sex is one that's laden with shame. Literotica should be a place where we can explore our fantasies without shame.

Don't get me wrong, certain subjects are problematic. Non-con and incest are problematic concepts to explore in a story. I've had many thoughtful, honest and heartfelt conversations about the issues, and the appropriateness of having and sharing these fantasies, (elsewhere to Lit though). But that is not the conversation certain trolls actually want to have.

For example, incest. I'm told parent/child incest (specifically mother/son) is very popular here. Now, in real life, two people who've had a parent/child relationship can't then go on to have a consensual sexual one, the power and relationship dynamic there doesn't allow it. But I'm told that many incest stories present parent/child relationships as consensual and loving. Is that an issue? Sure is, for me. But, there's a whole incest section for people with those fantasies to explore them in what's meant to be a safe space. Incest writers are generally respectful and mindful that incest outside the category needs to be appropriately tagged. Meaning I can easily avoid the topic. And, despite finding it disgusting, I'll fight for the right of incest writers to post their stuff here on Lit, as long as the website is able to allow it (acknowledging that changing laws mean they may be forced to remove it one day.) Also, I could never really speak against it, because I haven't read it (and don't care to). You can't have a meaningful conversation about banning a fantasy you've never read!

Because, fantasy isn't reality. My fantasies are specifically about things I'd never do IRL. That's why they're fantasies.

The TLDR is don't feel ashamed of your kinks. Question them, sure. Question if you should have them, if you should share them, and where and how you share them.

As I've said, I just had a traumatic past and I found that writing really helps me, particularly writing darker stories, just takes my mind off things.
This is a point many of the "Non con should not be allowed" advocates miss. It's obvious to me that many writers use non-con as catharsis, as part of their healing from trauma, and their work is powerful because of that.

That's very different to gratuitous content.

You asked me, if I recall. I declined, not being my kink at all. I suspect you might have read my mermaid story, which is about gender transformation (but I don't know for sure about that).

Pleased to see that you started writing for yourself!

Getting dragged into somebody else's crusade is a bit shitty, true. That's the OP's agenda, not yours.

ElectricBlue, I do remember contacting you in the past. How are you? I really hope you are keeping well! You were very pleasant to me when we spoke so long ago.

I started writing, and I think you were one of the authors who encouraged me to at the time, so thank you!

I'm so glad you are still on the forum, nice to meet you again!

Thank you as well for the kind words, I really appreciate it ❤️

Heels has a nasty habit of complaining very loudly about something they don't like, others' feelings be damned. They don't listen to anyone else's opinions and when you try to call them on their bullshit, they either deflect with some asinine non sequitur or ignore you completely. But they will update the thread they started about "checking out of a thread when it's no longer fun", just so you know they've checked out.

Also, before they pulled all their stories from Lit, incest was 99% of what they wrote.

@al55 This thread was obviously directed at you but it's just bullying by someone who doesn't know how to interact with other people on the internet in a mature, rational way. Good on you for trying to improve and get more involved in writing and community. Write what you want to write. You got this.

Nynah, thank you so much for the kind words and encouragement! I really appreciate what you said, makes me feel like I'm not a piece of shit.

You must take some of us with a grain of salt. There are times when some of us aren't the politest folks on the web. I include myself in the impolite crowd, but not too often, I hope.
