On XP I used to be able to browse my favourite porn site and then collect all the tmp images from the Temporary Internet Files folder.
In Vist they don't seem to be there.
I've got 50M set as the available space and the folder has got plenmty of other tmp files in, but not the image files I'm lookin for. Any ideas what settings I might need to check to find where they are or whether they're even being stored?

vista temp

click start then in the command line type %temp% that will take you to the temp file

perfect advice but just a little more clarification.... this command will take you to the temp directory located in the Windows (OS) folder... whether it be in XP or Vista.... not to be confused with temp internet files... path will appear as C:\DOCUME~1\ADMINI~1\LOCALS~1\Temp for most comps... dumping these periodically is a good thing to do....

(Slow reply from me!!!)
Tried it and got "Temp is not recognised as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file".

IE8 is terrible to manage temporary files, and plus I might add that it's probably the worse browser out there. I suggest Mozilla Firefox for this which is faster than IE, plus better memory management.

Anyways with firefox you can check the folders within the program.

I'll leave the link here if you're interested:

Also there are pretty cool addons for firefox that will allow you to block all that nasty porn advertising and pop-ups for faster and better surfing, really neat stuff.

Hope this helps.
