New to lit, but I am already addicted.
I have been reading stories on here for a month or so (thank you, Sir Nathan!) and decided that I would like to explore a bit further than just reading. Most of what I have been reading has been BDSM related and I have to say, the concept of Dom/sub really appeals to me on many levels...especially the intense intimacy and lowered personal walls this kind of relationship seems to facilitate.
So, here comes the boring self-advertisement:
I am a 38 year old white male living in northern VA. I am 5'9", 165 pounds and in good physical condition. Average looking, with black hair, brown eyes and 165 pounds, I like to think I am kind, intelligent, somewhat wise, with a good sense of humor and a joy for life. Like everyone, I have some relationship baggage, but I am emotionally stable and capable of enjoying myself with or without company. I enjoy playing MMO games online, traipsing around the woods or city with friends ...hmm, honestly I enjoy most anything - seems I can find fun almost always.
Now for the fun part. I would like to connect, intellectually with folks who are practicing the lifestyle. I am very new to it, but think that by getting to know folks who are into it, I can learn and figure out if it is for me. I am not really looking for a relationship, nor even a play partner at this point... Just to connect. I am not opposed to more, just no expectations or intents at this point.
Anyone munching routinely in this area? I would love to go to a low pressure, fun social meeting and just say "hi" and get to know folks. I am also cool with just online chatting, etc. to meet and explore. Both Doms and subs are welcome to chat as I suspect I am Dom, but am interested in learning a sub viewpoint of the lifestyle too. I guess I am mentally voyeuristic in a way; nothing is as interesting as our fellow (wo)man!
