Most women close their eyes to kiss, and most men do not.

My first wife did not close her eyes, and that was disconcerting for a while.

1935 - The Nuremberg Laws stripped German Jews of citizenship and made the swastika the official symbol of Germany.

1940 - The Luftwaffe took it in the teeth bigtime during the Battle of Britain. The Germans might have won had they not changed their tactics in the first place, a recurring situation for them.

FIRST TIME IN THIS THREAD

The town hall on the Simpsons is actually the library in the town I live in. One of the head cartoonists is a guy I went to school with, and he uses different buildings in town (pizza joint too) when he draws.

For automobile leather interiors, English leather is preferable to American leather. US cows are confined by barbed wire, and when they rub up against it, they scar their hides. English cows are confined by wooden fences and have much less scar tissue.

Music trivia

Keith Emerson and Carl Palmer both received many years of classical training in music as children.

Procol Harem found its most noted guitarist, Robin Trower, through a newspaper advertisement.

If the posts needed appreciation, this thread would have died weeks ago - check the post history.

Just find a tidbit, and put it here.

I do appreciate the help. Hell, it's not even my thread.
