Can any one help me or point me in the right direction for sites for music downloads as my son and I just received ipods and need to fill them..Thanks:kiss:

Just a small word of advice.... YOU need to clean up anydownloaded music from any sources other than I tunes... for virus and mess that comes with them... before you load them to the Ipod..... remember it is a Tiny hard drive and can get fragamented just like your computer.....

kazaa comes with a bunch of spyware...which you probably don't want...and it's pretty hard to get these days for free. I use Limewire...it works great...it cleans the files for you and lets you know before you play them or completely download them if they're corrupted or not...

I've got a cutie pink ipod mini, and I'm also a huge fan of Limewire. It's easy to use and gives you access to a huge selection of music from other users.

Best place to download tunes for your iPod mini is at Apple's iTunes store. However, if you download from other sites, just be aware that you can only put music onto the mini that's in Apple's proprietary format, so you'll have to bring all that music into iTunes first.

My iPod Mini (silver) does MP3, AAC and a host of other formats without force-converting them.
Now things like .oog files, you'll have to convert or iTunes won't play it but most standard formats aren't changed by the iPod or iTunes. It plays MP3's the same way anything else does and when it imports a CD it'll use MP3, AAC or even WAV formats.

That's why a lot of people end up with iPods, cause they don't force conversions on the user like Sony does with thier previous digital music players.

Yeah, I'm a nerd, I know it. But I'm a musically accompanied nerd.
