My Best Friend's Wedding

Today is the day that Nancy's friend Steve is to arrive and I find myself looking at my watch all morning. I'm not sure why his presence concerns me so much, I mean I trust Nancy and am very confident that nothing will happen. But something unexplainable keeps gnawing at me...

Maybe I'm just being paranoid.

Maybe it's just pre-wedding jitters.

Or maybe it's just that I'm so in love with Nancy that I'm being way over-protective.

Whatever the case, I know I've got to get my head together. The wedding is only a week away and I've got a million things to do before then....

OOC: Proposal accepted! ~kiss~ Provided I get one good make-out scene with my hubby to be before I go running off being a tramp! ~L~

IC: After my attempt at conversation, Gwenn and Steve both seemed to withdraw into their own little worlds. Maybe I shouldn't have mentioned the beach thing. I still didn't know why Steve and I had fought that night. Maybe we'd get a chance to sit down and talk it all out. In the mean time though, I didn't plan on bringing it up again.

We drove the rest of the way in silence, and I wondered again why I'd never introduced Steve and Keith before. The timing had just never seemed right. Even now I thought the timing was all off, but I couldn't avoid introducing them now.

We pulled up to the hotel and got out of the car. I handed the valet the keys and had to convince Steve to let the bellboy carry his bags. I took his arm as we walked into the lobby.

"Now I know you like to do things yourself, and you don't like other people carrying around your bags, but I'm determined to make you relax for once and enjoy some of the fine pleasures in life!"

I lead him up to the desk and Gwenn chimed in, "they have the most wonderful masseuse here!" I giggled.

"I some how doubt that he'd enjoy a massage from Stephan," I said. The lady at the desk smiled at us.

"We also have Anna," she said, "she's also quite talented." Steve, Gwenn and I all laughed at her comment, our dirty minds all thinking alike. She looked a little perplexed, and we were able to calm ourselves down enough to get Steve checked in.

We got to the hotel and it was one of the most lavish spots I'd ever seen. All the staff was very attentive and bellboys where jumping to carry my bags. I was fine to carry my own, but Nancy insisted the bellboy carry it as she took my arm. Fair trade I thought with a smile.

Nancy told me I needed to enjoy some of the fine pleasures of life. I looked down on her as she held my arm, and thought what I really enjoyed was her. Gwenn mentioned something about a masseuse named Stephan, and then the deskclerk told us of another girl named Anna whom I might enjoy a little more.

I told the clerk "I'm sure Anna is quite talented, but I'll make due with what I've got". Both girls took my arms as we walked off to my room. We were all giggling now. Although a massage would be nice, and Nancy always gave great ones. I can't remember how many times we'd do that for each other.

We got into my room, which wasn't even a room, but an entire suite. I spun around with the biggest grin on my face, thinking Keith must be loaded to put us all up like this. I fell onto the bed as the two sisters watched me and with a coy expression looked up and asked "So which one of you wants to massage me?"

"So which one of you wants to massage me?"

I laughed as I walked over to the edge of the bed. Putting my hands on my hips, I looked down at him.

"Now wait a second, I'm the bride, I'm the one that's been going crazy with all the preparations, and I'm supposed to give you a massage?"

"Yup!" Steve exclaimed, jumping up and pulling me on the bed with him. He wrapped an arm around my waist and both of my arms and reached down to tickle the back of my knee, my most ticklish spot. I screamed and giggled while struggling to free my self, kicking and rolling around on the bed.

I could see Steve was too preoccupied with Nancy, and Nancy was obviously too preoccupied with him. I thought about joining in on the fun, but felt like it'd be too weird. Something was definatley going on here. I picked up a pillow from the bed and threw it at them on my way out. When I left they were still rolling around and laughing. I began to walk down the hall to the elevators. I was going to head back up to my room, but thought a drink might be in order. I got on the elevator and pushed the button to take me to the ground floor.

I was rolling on the bed with Nancy when Gwenn threw a pillow at us and stormed off. We stopped for a moment and laughed at each other. We were lying on the bed on our sides facing each other. I can't remember how many times we'd shared a bed in the past. It was very common for us to be this close. I started remembering the few times "things" did happen when we were in these positions. I calmed down as I felt a little twinge of sadness creep into me, thinking it would never be like this again. I looked into Nancy's eyes and told her I was happy I was here with her as I reached up and pushed her hair out of her eyes.
