Well, I went to Austin, TX for a music festival. Three days of nonstop music, and I was able to stay with an old friend. Very cool.

The festival had both kinds of music--country AND western! (Sorry, had to whip out the Blues Brothers quote.) The festival--called SXSW--spans a lot of genres. It's more indie/alternative rock than anything else; Bloc Party was one of the biggest current names, but most of the acts--literally 1,000 played across town--aren't famous. Folk, country, hip-hop, electronic, jazz, R&B, etc., are represented, too. (Public Enemy played, but I don't want to see Chuck D now, poor guy's lost his voice.)

Given our height difference, I think that would be an excellent position for you. I'd like to spin you around every once in a while.

Seriously, I'm going through my Nina Simone period, again. And I just found a clear
recording of "Ne Me Quitte Pas"-- I think I've listened to it 20 times. The words are
so haunting, and universal.

I think we should go all out-- Get some strobe lights and 70s porn music, we can
make something truly unforgettable. And have a keepsake of the wicked
shenanigans for posterity.
