My cats are nutcases

I just ended up coming home with the cutest kitten in the world (to me anyway)...after I swore I didn't want a kitten, only an adult cat.

All of her littermates got adopted today and she was all alone and I felt so bad. And of course now my girlfriend wants to get the one SHE fell in love with on Tuesday. That shelter was closed today or we'd have them both now.

I wonder why they would be closed on Saturday. I would think that would be one of the busiest days of the week for them. Since this is a three day weekend, you may have to wait until Tuesday of next week. :cathappy:

Personally, I think the best way is to adopt littermates. That way, they are already adjusted to each other and won't fight as much. :catroar:

I am currently building a Kittie Condo for the Herd. Of course it started out small, but the more I've been working on it the larger it has grown. Now it is becoming a Kittie Castle. Of course I will have to take a picture of it when it's done.

Can't wait to see it...I've contemplated doing something like that but I'm sure they'd ignore it in favor of the drapes...

I'm sure that mine will at first, right up until the time they realize it is laced with Catnip. (Yeah I know, contributing to the delinquency of a Kitty. )

Wait! There's something wrong with contributing to the delinquency of kitty???

*contemplates giving catnip to the juttens and letting them loose for Mrs to deal with when she gets home*

Some of them prefer the cloth arms of expensive chairs or sofas. :D

We have a futon...nothing to grab on to...although they do like the fun fur blanket my wife made for me...though they don't kneed that...they just like to cuddle it...

Check out some of these condos - we're going to get one of them for our spoiled bunch o' kitties.

Oh I like these even though they are much fancier than what I have started on.

It started out with two levels, both 18 inch cubes. Currently it is a tower with four levels. Eaxh level also has an external platform. I'm thinking about connecting the levels with ramps.

Oh the entire thing is carpeted inside and out.

Let's see what this turns out to look like. Knowing me this will be an absolute monster.

Right now I'm trying to keep the kitten from climbing on the computer. Apparently my desk is MUCH cooler than the mini kitty condo right beside me. :)

Of course, I could just put her on the floor but she's so cute I just can't do that. lol

Of course it is! After all, the kitty condo doesn't interupt what you're doing ;)

That doesn't stop me...occasionally I let them curl up in my lap, but then their tails come into play and knock every all over the place

*pounces DL*

Well she got bored with me and decided her toys were more fun...for a few minutes anyway. Right now her tail's not big enough to do any major damage. :)

Enjoy the peace...ALL of our cats have deadly tails and have since kittenhood...

I don't know, there was no reason on the door, just a sign in ink that said 'Closed'. We were more than a little disappointed, but yes, Tuesday she's going to see if she can get the other kitty.

If this one had a littermate left, I just might have gotten him/her too. I need to take pictures of the little thing, especially shen she's being cute like she is now, all asleep on my legs.

Oh how I know how that works. Mine like to try to walk over the laptop when I'm working on it.

Bubba thinks that where ever you hppen to be sitting is automaticly his spot. He will sleaze his way in beside or behind you then start pushing you out.

Squeeke just wanta attention. She comes over and climbs up your leg to get the attention she wants. (Leaving holes in my legs as she does so.)

Critter on the other hand just waits for you to sit down to eat. Then she's right there. She doesn't so much want nibbles, although she'll take those. She just wants attention.

Your cats sound hilarious. I love it when you post stories of what they do. :)

I've named this one Destiny since I hadn't intended to get her, she just happened to be too adorable to resist. I have a feeling she's going to be a handful, but I'm going to love every second of it.

My current wife doesn't like cats, so I have had to forego the pleasure of their company for some time. Before I had a laptop, I used to spend a lot of time sitting at a desk or table writing or reading something. Of course, when one of the kitties saw what I was doing, the book or paper or whatever, was just the perfect place to lie down, roll over and get her tummy rubbed. It was something I got used to. :D
