I nod lightly as I listen to you.
"And if I asked about spending a day together?"
I question after all of our flirty text conversations.

I am a bit surprised at that.
"But what about your job Jake? You just started!!! Don't want to get you into trouble"

I smile. "What about it? I told them in the interview I needed to take a few days off this month anyway and they gave me the job still."

 

[Becaa57]

I can see you are serious.
"Ok, one day next week? And just you know I'm not looking for an affair or anything like that!!! Just two friends spending a day together? Deal???"

 

[Craneman8686]

I nod and give you a light smile. "Ok deal. Just two friends spending the day together." I tap the bag. "Maybe a drink or two." I grin

I laugh "Maybe, no promises"
our food comes and we start to eat. I realize that I do like spending time with you, your funny easy to talk too. and to be honest not bad on the eyes

I laugh a bit as well before the waitress returns with our food. Eating and light conversation. Finding things to talk about with you seems effortless and the time just flows smoothly as we sit there.
I finish up my meal and sit back in the chair. Looking at you silently.

We sit finishing our lunch drinks. Amazed by the fact that even though we hardly know each other, we talk and laugh so easily.
Seeing you looking at me. I smile
"Like what you see? Tell me what you're thinking"

I grin as your smile spreads and you question me.
"I actually do. You're a very beautiful woman." I answer back and shake my head lightly with a grin.
"Just replaying some of our text conversations in my head." I give you a playful wink.

"Beautiful? Have you been hitting that bottle already????
Thank you though"
Thinking back over our conversations.
"Guessing that a swimsuit is involved???"

I grin at your response.
"You don't take compliments very easily, do you?" I ask lightly.
I shrug with a light smile. "Maybe. Maybe other things."

"I don't get very many, so I guess not"
I smile again
"Other things?? Such as???"

"Well you should." I answer back and see your smile spread again.
I grin more and shake my head. "I cant tell you those."

 

[Becaa57]

I laugh out loud at that one.
"Well maybe later, but I think I've kept you long enough, don't want to get Scott mad at you already"
Getting up to say goodbye

I laugh a bit with you as yours escapes. I nod.
"You're probably right. I should be getting back." Seeing you stand.
"Can i walk you to your car at least?"

"Of course"
(going to dinner now, will continue after, so you have free rein for the goodbye)

I smile and nod. Walking up and paying our check. I push open the door for you as we walk out. My hand instinctively moves to the small of your back as we cross the parking lot heading to your car. Stopping with you as you unlock it and open your door. "One more hug?" I ask with a light smile.

"Of course!!" stepping into your arms, for a nice tight hug.
As I get ready to drive away, let me know what day next week ok?"
I go home and change into more casual clothes, thinking of the lunch and a day next week.
Mike gets home a little early for a change and brings flowers.
I look at them and say
"Ok what did you do wrong?"
He smile
'I actually had a good day at work honey, I got a promotion!!!'
"Wow!!! That's fantastic news!!!"
'Yes I'm up another ladder towards success, Get changed I want to go out and celebrate!!'
I go put on a nice dress, some makeup and perfume.
I think about it, then send you a text
"Mike got a promotion, we are going to celebrate, I may not have a chance to text tonight "
"Ready!"
We go to his favorite restaurant and have a very nice meal, while he tells me about his new position. Although I wasn't happy to hear that it may involve travel, he's done that before"
When we get home we go upstairs where he wants sex.
After some satisfying for him, not for me. I'm laying bed, listening to him snore.
I get up, slip a robe on and go pour a glass of wine, going out to the back deck/
You get a text
"You still awake?"

I slip my arms around you and hug you tightly in the parking lot before we pull away. Placing a light kiss on your cheek, almost at the corner of your lips. I nod. "I will."
Climbing in my truck and heading back to work to finish out the day. It proves to be fairly uneventful before ending and making my way back home.
Doing some yard work, showering and relaxing when my phone goes off and I see your text.
"Ok. Juat message when you can. Have fun." I text back.
Our evening is long and slow. No sex because of the usual, she has a headache and she goes to bed before me.
Finding a movie on the tv to watch and unwind when my phone goes off again. Surprised that you texted tonight.
"Yeah I'm up. Everything ok?"

"Hi, thanks"
"Yes things are OK, We're back from dinner and ...
I'm just sitting the the deck, feeling a bit lonely I guess.
How is your night going?"

I read what you send. Frowning a bit at my phone as you say you're feeling lonely.
"I'm sorry you're lonely, for what its worth. Hope you enjoyed dinner. My night is going ok. She is asleep and i'm just sitting downstairs."

"Yes he is asleep too. Evidently a bit of a shake up in your office? Several managers left??"
"I did want to thank you for lunch, I really enjoyed it"

"Yes, a few left. We were told they were leaving for better positions elsewhere. And I really enjoyed it as well. As for what we were talking about, I will be taking off Thursday and Friday of next week. Does either of those days work for you?"

"The way Mike explained it, for some of them, it was more they were asked to leave. Oh well"

"Before I forget to mention, two things you should be aware of. When they have any kind of changes at that lever, Scott invites all involved out to a dinner, including spouses. No pool party, so don't get your hopes up "

"Also he tends to invite new hires at that level wives out for a lunch or something. So Becky will be getting an invite.
He likes to know everyone who works for him, including spouses."

"I think Thursday would be better, Mike sometimes takes a short Friday, do you have any idea were you are taking me?"

"Oh ok. Well thank you for the heads up about the potential dinner. And that's fine. I'm sure she would love to get out with a group of possible friends." I send back.

"She doesnt do much usually even though I have told her that she needs to get out and find a group to hang around with. And Thursday sounds good. I havent decided yet. Anywhere in particular you would like to go?"
