My Social Life Sucks!

Indy

thank you.. *smiling* I agree with you about the fact that if kids are an issue it is the wrong guy. My son has a father who is very active in his life and we get along (despite him not paying child support) most of the time. I couldn't imagine having a relationship with a man whose ex was always in my face. (shaking head) That would be horrible.

p.s. how've you been?

Just the name of the state evokes a yawn. (sorry..it's true) I know there's more to kansas than what I've seen driving through the state, isn't there? huh? *nudge*

Well, gotta admit Kansas isn't exactly my favorite place to live. Originally grew up near the Kansas City, MO area - thus my family are located in this area. Came back to the midwest from the Seattle area about six years ago for a job and because my family said it would be so nice to have me living closer. Can look at my response about dysfunctional families to guess how well this turned out. Still here because I'm grossly overpaid at my current job - thus can afford a simple life after child-support, and because I'm reluctant to move too far away from the children. Haven't yet clearly defined how far 'too far' is.

Hey, there are some advantages to living in Kansas. No matter what your skill level, you'd be a fantastic kite flier out here.

It's really tough to get lost because most all roads are laid out on one-mile square grids according to the land sections.

No real accent problem. No matter where you're from you'll pretty much understand the spoken dialect and be understood when you speak.

It's a really great place to extend the life of your favorite fads that have already died on the east and west coasts.

We are very proud of the fact that we lost no Congressional seats in the last census.

And besides that, now you can know there is at least one intelligent, articulate, fairly good-looking 37 year old guy that lives out here (at least for the moment). So don't give up too much hope on the entire state. :)

*chuckles*

very interesting and almost persuasive points you've made, "living".

I'll do some research of my own and get back to you on the offer. *wink*
