Well, I always say that nothing is an original idea, but I sort of came up with it, in high school, while writing a short story. It was the name that I gave the main character. It doesn't have a meaning, which is great because that just means that I get to decide what it means.

Rebekah I have always liked. (During my first pregnancy, if it were a girl, the choice was between Melissa if it was a light haired child (meaning Honey) or Rebekah for a darker haired child)

In fact, the meaning is very profound: "binding together"
