That's something that never entered my mind, building my own house. Heard too much horror stories. :D Bought my house 5 years ago, an old, renovated one. Hey! That's only 15 years of mortgage payments left! YAY!! From what I could make out in the background of your pics (well, the eye wanders sometimes LOL), you two have a very lovely home, good taste!!
 
Yeah thanks for that....we went with a really good building firm and had no horrors whatsoever with them....plus it was cheaper building then buying with all the reports and shit that you have to get we paid a little extra to our builders and they did all the reports for us.

Was a breeze and we couldn't be happier with the result.
