Generally, the answer is NO. You are not known. Characters have personalities and react in a specific way. You are asking to have your story written, but we don't know your character, how you think, react or what gets your motor running.

No matter what would be churned out for you, it would be disappointing.

Sorry.

Why don't you just write it yourself?

I'd have to disagree with you Jenny. I think a writer can produce an excellent fantasy story for a requester... it does take more than the general "looks and measurements" though.

I've written several reader/fan requested stories and how I go about it is not to ask for just dimensions, but to ask about kinks, dislikes, physical attributes, as well as personality traits, usually over a couple of emails. If I don't have a feel for the requester and what they are looking for, I'll withdraw the offer and tell them I just can't do it. I've done that twice. Once for a transgender and once for an incest fantasy.

I've not gotten a bad review from someone I've written a fantasy for yet. It just takes time and care to create a story for someone you don't know.

Many writers start out as mercenaries working on assigned stories. Take Hemingway, for example. It's a good way to work on your skills.

I think it is a key for you and many folks here. And there is nothing wrong with that either.

I write for me too, but I also like the challenge of producing a fantasy that works for the reader in a way that they really seem that it is them.

I never do a story I don't think I can write nor do I write something if the requester becomes unworkable with. . .remember that vampire and wheelchair story I was working on for a requester. That story was excellent and I was enjoying it until the demands began. Demanding me is one thing I won't do. I write for my pleasure. If I can capture the story for another then I write for me and them.

Couldn't agree more. I've written a number of "personal" stories for fans, most of which don't even get posted here. But have taken it one step further, I tell those who want me to write something for them that I won't even attempt it until they fill out a basic personality questionaire. With intimate details (not just body descriptions either) about the way they think, what they like (and not just generic descriptions either). I won't write a story like that unless I feel I can do the characters (them) some kind of justice.

My difficulty would be the same, not because my imagination has failed but because if I'm responding to a requester then that narrative needs to incorporate more of the "requester" in it (his / her world, his / her feelings) than me and my tastes, my predelictions -- otherwise the end result is not as authentic as it might otherwise have been.

Thankfully, each person here is very different in their reactions, and in a way I'm envious of those who get over the empathy hurdle. Sadly, I'm in the "write for me first, write for someone else second" camp not because I'm selfish but because that's the way I'm wired -- though I'm guessing that there must be some scenarios out there that would be so inspirational as to make me think, to hell with authenticity, let's go for it anyway!
