I agree with the above, but there may be another cause.

The way you describe her heavy emotions toward you makes it sound like she may suffer from bipolar disorder or some other personality disorder that causes extreme emotions. Whatever it is, it seems like she is very insecure, to an unhealthy extent, and that raises a big red flag to me. If this is true, it is something that cannot be fixed without years of therapy and possibly lifelong medication.
