I purchased my first set of hard rubber cock-rings and have no clue how to properly use them. No pics or instructions came with the set. Am I supposed to get my balls through it too? It's pretty simple you put it at the base of your cock that's pretty much it.
If it's big enough you can put your balls through it, if not then don't.
I think that pretty much covers getting it on.
Now if you have pubes and it's one of those rubber jelly ones getting it off can be even more fun. If they are solid "band" style rings, they are designed to only go around the base of the penis. The easiest way is to apply them before you get an erection. The problem with them is that they cut off blood flow both directions, in and out of the penis. Personal experience is that they are painful and don't do a damned thing for me.

The kind I've liked is the kind that is basically a piece of surgical tubing and a bead to tighten it. Put it on before or after an erection over the penis and under the scrotum and tighten. This restricts blood flow OUT of the penis, but not in. That means you can get a firmer erection that actually increases sensitivity.

The solid bad ones "might" be better at holding back ejaculation, but I guess I never used one for that reason, so I don't know. I do know that metal rings are bad because they can bcome stuck! At least the rubber ones you can cut off if you had to.

There are a couple different uses/effects:

1.) To hold off on ejaculation. If a guy has problems popping too early, this can help.
2.) Increase firmness and thickness of an erection. If used properly it lets blood in but not out, which causes more blood than normal to be pumped into erectile tissue.
3.) Increased sensitivity. The same effect described in #2 also pushes nerve endings closer to the skin, increasing sensitivity. Stangely enough, this doesn't seem to conteract the effect of delaying ejaculation.
4.) More intense orgasms, again due to Effect #3
5.) Less recovery time between ejaculation to next erection. Because blood doesn't totally flow out of the penis, it is easier to achieve a successive erections.
6.) Visual effects. Presentation of the penis, if you will.

Not everyone will experience all the above effects and different ring styles do different things. For instance, I personally see a touch of thickness increase, but none in the firmness department. Sometimes orgasms are stronger, other times they aren't. I really se no delay in time to ejactulation, but I definitely see a decrease in the time it takes to achieve a second erection. YMMV of course, and it's not something I'd pull out every encounter, but it's occasionally intruiging.
