Eve Wolf had lived in a small town very close to New York City, it was maybe ten minutes away from the apple. Eve was a writer of music so she seemed to always be home, she had graduated High School when she was sixteen years old. Since she packed on the classes in school, and she was highly intelligent. When she was seventeen someone had moved in to the house next door. A home that had never had anyone living there.

Kids use to think it was haunted because no one seemed to know why no one lived there, and it used to creep her out. But now she knew the truth and it was just never wanted due to the fact it was highly expensive. But the day Ghell moved in it made things a bit more complicated. Something about him seemed to hold her sometimes, she had no damn idea what would end up happening to her in the future. But he seemed rather nice.

But even she knew he could have another side of him a side she did not know, but after about a month of getting to know him. She was having some very strange dreams every so often, with him saying she was born to be his. What she didn't know was she not having a dream that was out of her imagination. Some strange things had been going on, some people had been attacked by what seemed like a big dog.

It was a couple nights before the full moon she was out for a jog, it was dark with the moon almost full. She was enjoying the night it was breeze but not that bad or anything, as she was jogging she was thinking of Ghell and did not know why either it was kinda annoying. She stopped after an hour to catch her breath, she closed her eyes and she thought she saw something and got startled crashing onto the ground, twisting her leg.

"Shit.." she growled.

Another figure appeared from the darkness. It was Ghell, out on a run just like she was. His keen amber eyes had seen her from afar, and his nose and ears had known exactly where she was from a mile off. He cut an impressive figure, with broad and strong limbs, a barrel-chest, rock-hard chiseled features, and an angled, solid and strong jaw. His hair was mostly jet-black aside from the slight grey highlights his temples. He wore a trim and well-kept beard most of the time, but by the look of the stubble, he hadn't shaved in a couple days. He was wearing only cargo shorts, dark running shoes, and had an mp3-player banded to his thick arm. He carried quite a plethora of tattoos, all tribal and indecipherable as to their meaning. The most striking seemed to be a black tribal sun on the left side of his chest with rays extending over his collarbone and just above his stomach.

He bolted to her side in an amazing burst of speed and knelt by her, "Eve?" He asked gently in that rough bass voice that sent shivers up most women's spines. "Didn't mean to scare you... you okay?" He had a heavy Australian accent, he once mentioned he'd picked it up from his Australian father while growing up.

Eve had been one of those things and right now she just could not help but feel her heart in her throat. Looking up at him she sighed a bit, looking at her ankle she felt like an idiot and hated to feel like that. But she laughed and nodded to him "I'm okay just been doing a lot of thinking and yeah guess where that gets me? on my ass looking like a moron" She slowly got up but grunted and limped, she had twisted it pretty bad and was not liking feeling like this, but thee was nothing she could do about it.

"I guess this whole thing I see on the news has worried me about the animal attacks, I love animals normally but knowing my luck I dunno. Guess I let my stupid imagination get the better of me." She said looking at him and thought for a second, she knew she was going to need to get some help and did not know how this would work out, so decided to see if he was willing to give her a hand. Looking into those amber eyes of his she could not help but enjoy the way he looked at her.

"Ghell would you be able to help me back home? I need to put some ice on my ankle, guess I did a number on it." She said hoping not to sound stupid but one thing she really liked about him was his accent. She always had a thing about guys with accents, she never knew why exactly but she began to try and walk on her own but limped pretty bad, she wasn't putting it on, it really hurt like hell.

"Hold on, speedy," he caught her, and suddenly scooped her up, cradling her in his broad arms. "Best keep the weight off that ankle." And he went on his way, carrying her like she was just a big feather in his arms. It didn't take him long to arrive at her home, and with little difficulty, he shoved the door open and slipped inside. He looked about to get the lay of her home, and he found the living room with ease. He set her down on the couch with her leg propped up on a pillow, and he went to the kitchen to rummage for a plastic bag, a towel, and ice. It took him a couple minutes, but he soon returned with the ice-filled bag wrapped in the towel. He first perched at the end of the sofa and took a look at her ankle, pulling off her shoe and sock carefully

"Just sprained, I'm sure," he muttered with her hell resting on his thigh as he looked it over. He laid her ankle on the towel and ice, and back on the pillow. "Gotta be careful, love." He used endearing terms like 'love', 'honey', and 'sweetheart' with everyone, even strangers.

Eve watched what he did and it was really impressive he picked her up like she was a child, so holding his neck with one arm she just smiled seeing how he was. She just hated to feel like a kid, and the way he moved with her was rather impressive and right now she was fine with it. So watching him she was pretty quite and was thinking of all sorts of things. She knew she did not really know to much about him. Something about his form made her think almost like someone who was nobility.

"Thanks for doing this for me, I appropriate it. I had been meaning to invite you over to get to know each other better. Since I realize I know very little about you" She said with a kind smile. When he did what he did for her it was really sweet, and she wanted to offer him something. Though she did not drink, course she wasn't even twenty one yet. She was only eighteen. Course her birthday was during the next full moon that she did not realize, she offered him a place to sit if he wanted it.

"If you had time id love to talk to you"

"I've got nothing but time, sweetheart," Ghell flashed one of his famously-handsome grins. The man seemed born and built to impress. He leaned back on the arm of the couch across from her. "So what's a pretty little sheila like you doing running out in the middle of the night? There's all sorts of baddies that'd just love to catch ya. Like me," he chuckled good-humoredly. His Australian speech habits were exotic to an American ear, but also on the cute side. "Big bad wolves, all of us," he smirked playfully.

She smiled watching him and was thinking of the idea herself. "Well It wasn't that dark when I started, I keep forgetting that it gets dark fast. Always loved nature and natures life you know?" She said with such a kind smile. But then began to think of something herself, looking at him she saw that smile as he said what he did, she could not help but smile even more. Taking a deep breath she was unsure what to say to him really. She sucked talking to guys, she always had. Hence why she never been on a date.

"What about you? Why were you out late?"

"Like I said, I'm one of those baddies out prowling for Little Red Riding Hood to come along," he grinned. "I found one, but she up and twisted her ankle," Ghell teased light-heartedly. He looked to the bracer-watch on his wrist and he added, "Looks like the witching hours are about to begin. Almost midnight." He relaxed back against the sofa, "My favorite time of the night..." He smirked. He fancied himself a troublemaker in a certain sense, but he was truly mature and just knew how to have fun.

She looked at him and nodded "You like midnight huh? well I didn't even realize it was that late, and I guess I am little red riding hood" She chuckled a bit. "well if you get uppity I can protect myself I am a black belt" She said teasing him. Well some what teasing and some what serious since she was. "My parents wanted me to learn to protect myself since I went to the cities school sadly" Chuckling she looked over at him. "Has anyone ever told you, you have amazing eyes, are they natural?"

Ghell genuinely smiled at her compliment. "They're natural, yeah. Just like my dear ol' dad's eyes, amber as a wolf." Little did she know how true that statement was. They suited him and his wolfish looks and personality. "Yours ain't so bad yourself. The word starlight comes to mind." Now he was clearly flirting, and he wasn't shy about it.

She smiled at him and blushed "Mom use to call me stormy since they are a mix of blue and grey." She said and could tell he was flirting and looked at him. "Your eyes are beautiful though, think that is the one animal that had always been my favorite, are wolves. Mating or life and protecting there clans, though the last name Wolf kinda does it to" She giggled a bit looking at him with a big smile on her face. She had never even been touched or kissed, so this whole thing was new.

Ghell found himself becoming rather interested in this girl. So she was interested in the cousins of his kind. He couldn't help wondering to himself if she was interested in him too. "I'm quite a wolf-lover myself." That was true in more ways than one.

"Anyhow," he stopped his train of thought from derailing on the wrong side, "you, love, need some rest. The more you get, the faster you'll heal. Here," he reached into his pocket and produced his wallet and pulled a business card that read: 'Ghell MacNamara- Musical Instrument Repair Specialist, Mandolin Crafter' "My number's on there, call if you need anything. Before I leave, do you need any help with anything?"

She looked at him and watched what he did, looking down at it she smiled and thought. "Musical repair?" She looked at him. Can you do anything like tune a piano?" She said with a big smile on her face. "I have a piano that needs tuning" She said and shook her head. "Actually if you can help me to my bedroom I would be grateful" She said with a kind look on her face, looking at him. Something about him made her curious more so and she just silently sighed thinking.

Wanting him to stay but wouldn't force him since it was late.

"Be happy to," he rose and scooped her up once more, finding his way to her room with her guidance and setting her on the edge of the bed. "And I'll get my tools and come by to tune the piano tomorrow. No charge for a cute sheila like you," he grinned. He'd brought the towel with the ice and he set it in her hands.

She reached into her table beside the bed and put her own card in his hand. "Home phone and cell are there" It said Eve Luna Wolf Music Writer, was just something very simple and looked at him with a kind smile. "Thank you for this Ghell I appreciate it very much" She said with a happy smile and laid back in her bed.

Ghell soon made his way out, and she was left in peace alone for the night. The next day around noon, Ghell came carrying a moderately-sized case at his side and knocked at her front door. He wore faded blue jeans today and a tight black t-shirt with his favorite pair of harness boots and a form-fitting pinstriped vest. About his neck hung his favorite necklace, a lace cord with small wooden beads covered in carved tribal designs and a crocodile scale pendant encased in glass. "'ey, sheila!" Ghell called, "Lemme in, love!" He chuckled to himself. He was in a bright mood today, because he knew he'd be out running wild and free soon with his small pack in the forests of the New York wilderness when the full moon came.

Eve had been writing some music not really seeing what time it was, she had slept a great deal. Sleeping instantly the minute he left, she felt safe with him around and right now? She was just really happy. Hearing however Ghell's voice she peeked her head out of the window and chuckled. "Never heard of a phone?" She grinned and motioned for him to come. She unlocked the door and opened it wide letting him in. She was limping but she could walk on it, didn't really bother her now.

"Thanks for doing this for me it's sweet of you, kinda funny you fix musical stuff and I write it" she said simply and sighed a little bit. "Course if you heard what I was writing k now I am sure you would laugh your ass off" She said simply and sat down on the couch which was in the area as the piano and looked at him. And sighed a little bit, everything seemed really nice and different.

"Nah. What're you writing? I'd love to hear." He offered a bright smile. If he knew one thing about his profession, it was that no music was bad music. Even 'bad music' just needed a little push in the right direction to become worthy of... well, worthy of song. "Show me what you've got so far," he told her after he opened up the piano's inner workings. "If you think it's not all that great, maybe I can offer a little help, lighten that opinion of yours." He then played a quick tune on the piano and cringed at a couple flat tones. "How long's it been since this old beauty was tuned?"

She smiled at him "You sure you want to hear it? it's called She Wolf kinda about werewolves, well my version of them any way. Not the stupid version that Hollywood has made' She said simply and sighed a bit, she had a CD with the tune to it and the lyrics she had on the table and when he asked about the piano she smiled. "That has been in my family for fifteen generations I think, I do what I can for it and have. It hasn't been tuned since my parents were killed so about two years" She smiled at him.

The mention of her parents brought a concerned expression to Ghell's face, but seeing she was unbothered, he let it go. "Yeah, I wanna hear. Play it, love," he smiled as he sat down at the piano bench and began fiddling with tools and strings.

She put the CD into her stereo system and sat down since she could not stand for very long, she saw the look on his face when she said what she did about her parents, realizing he didn't know anything about them. Smiling a little bit as right now everything just seemed so different, it was nice however. So as the music began to play she looked down at the lyrics that she had written and been working on a good two months, moving her good foot to the beat as she began to sing.

"S.O.S she is in disguise
S.O.S she is in disguise
There's a she wolf in disguise,
Coming out, coming out, coming out

A domesticated girl that's all you ask of me,
Darling it is no joke, this is lycanthropy.
Moon's awake now, with eyes wide open
My body is craving, so feed the hungry

I've been devoting myself to you
Monday to Monday
And Friday to Friday
Not getting enough retribution or decent incentives to keep me at it
Starting to feel just a little abused
Like a coffee machine in an office (aaa)
So I'm gonna go somewhere closer
To get me a lover and tell you about it

There's a she wolf in the closet,
Open up and set it free [wolf howl]
There's a she wolf in the closet,
Let it out so it can breathe (inhales, exhales)

Sitting across the bar, staring right at her prey,
It's going well so far, she's gonna get her way.
Nocturnal creatures are not so prudent,
The moon's my teacher, and I'm her student.

To look at the single man I've got on me a special radar,
And the fire department's hotline in case i get in trouble later
Not looking for cute little divas or rich city guys that just want to enjoy
I'm having a very good time and behave very bad in the arms of a boy

There's a she wolf in the closet,
Open up and set it free [wolf howl]
There's a she wolf in the closet,
Let it out so it can breathe (inhales, exhales)

S.O.S she is in disguise
S.O.S she is in disguise, breathes heavily
There's a she wolf in disguise,
Coming out, coming out, coming out

S.O.S she is in disguise
S.O.S she is in disguise
There's a she wolf in disguise,
Coming out, coming out, coming out

There's a she wolf in the closet,
Let it out so it can breathe (inhales, exhales) "

She Wolf By Shakira

Ghell listened close, enchanted by her voice more than the music, and he turned to face her once more. "Wow. Love, you might want to add 'voice of an angel' to your card, there. And one good turn deserves another, so give me a while and when this thing's in tune, I'll serenade you til you're weak at the knees," he smirked.

She smiled at him and blushed a bit "I am glad you like it, and I would like that" She sat back and crossed her good leg over the other and thought for a moment. "So why aren't you married, or you have a girlfriend and i haven't seen her yet?" She said softly looking at him. 'course I know its not my business so you don't have to tell me what you don't want to Ghell I don't stick my nose in peoples business"

"I'm single as can be. Sure, I have the occassional girlfriend here and there, but not at the moment... Why, you interested?" He flashed a wicked, wry grin. He was such a flirt! His fingers soon began to work over the keys, and he was liking what her heard from the rich and smooth tones of the piano.

She laughed at what he said "I don't know anything about guys Ghell I have never been in a relationship. My parents thought I was a lesbian because I never had a boyfriend. Which I told them I was very much straight, just I dunno guess guys don't understand me and my passion for certain things" She looked at him. "You wouldn't want me, hell never even been kissed" She said simply and walked over to open up the window. She was very lonely and wondered if he could pick up on it.
