Never mind illegals -- why is it so hard to enter the U.S. legally?

Have not yet seen, so far, anyone give any reasons for our present immigration laws.

You might consider that the perception migration was out of control is the single biggest reason the populist right came to power, in both Europe and North America. It didn't have to be this way.

Obama knew better but people like you nicknamed him the Deporter-in-Chief.

If you want to keep MAGA in power keep screaming loudly about how you think there should be zero immigration controls. Kind of playing into their hands there boss.

Are you a false flagger or just a useful idiot? 🤔

And it was a false perception -- never forget THAT!
People in Germany would probably beg to differ that it was just 'perception,' but it doesn't really matter, now does it?

Perception is reality.

You seem to forget that we live in a Democracy and people vote based on perception. You can shout into the ether all you want. Your "we should have zero immigration controls" idea is a non-starter and an extreme political loser.

Oh, there are non-racist reasons to restrict immigration.

But those mean nothing to this Administration nor to the MAGA movement.

but that is the only downside
That's far from the only downside.

And if you bothered to actually read what I've written, you'd know I'm not anti-immigration, so I don't know why you're replying with some link to "Rational Wiki" like you need to sell me on its merits.

Fun fact: The depressive wage effect could be solved via better tax policy, enforcement of anti-trust/consumer protection laws, and a strengthening of labor unions.

But Democrats can't/won't do anything like that because most of them are just as beholden to the 1% as Republicans and the only solutions on offer are Rube Goldbergian expansions of an already broken public safety net.
