Commander Shepard had been reinstated, she was on the Normandy again. Seeing familiar faces. It was good to see her friends, but she was told someone new was there. She was surprised to see Liara but glad to have the "Shadowbroker" on her team. Shepard's shoulder length red hair and green eyes pierced the dark halls of the ship. She had heard a little about about him, he was under Kaiden. Passing familiar faces, but as they took off. Something caught her attention and she looked out of the window. The reapers were coming onto Earth, closing her eyes she remembered that poor kid. She had a purpose she always had one, but could she pull it off?

She had a great team she knew, and old friends were going to help. Even a Geth which was different, Legion had helped her to stop the collectors and he would continue to fight with her. Looking up she decided to say hello now to the new recruit. She went to the CIC and noticed him there, she went up to him. Course everyone salted her and she saluted back. Shepard smiled at him.

"So you must be Steven Robertson"

She said with a kind look on her face.

Steven was still recovering from the shock of all that had happened. It was too much to take in. He had simpily been on Earth, walking on the streets of New York, when they had appeared. The Reapers. All that had followed was pure chaos, people screaming, explosions and gunfire going off, so much.

Luckily, he wasn't useless, he was part of the Alliance and a soldier, and he had still been wearing his combat uniform. The next few minutes were a blur. Strange zombie-like creature, that looked human but with blue... stuff on their skin had been attacking people. He did his best but it was hopeless. The Reapers were too powerful and Earth.. Humanity.. they were outmatched.

Somehow, he had bumped into Commander Shepard, the hero of humanity, and helped each other. Before he knew it, he was upon the Normandy as it sped away from the invasion.

Now, Stevens was staring helplessly out the window, as he watched hundreds of Reapers descending upon Earth. The only think that he thought was, 'How will we survive this?'

Upon hearing his name being called, Steven turned and saw Shepard walking towards him. Steven saluted the Commander, showing his respect to her, "Commander Shepard, it's good to meet you. Well at least not with enemies firing on us. Name's Steven Robertson, Corporal of the Alliance at you service. I have to say, you're a beacon of hope in these dark times."

Shepard smiled at him and saluted him back, putting her hand down she was taken back by what he said and nodded some. Being a beacon of hope was a ton to put on her shoulders, but the fighting that started was bad. Husks were now something else, human husks were one thing. But Krogan ones? She knew this would happen, crossing her arms she leaned against the wall. One foot on the wall and sighed.

"Yeah except if the council had listened to me, we would have been ready. In some small way Ive always doubted my future, what people want me to do. Making the impossible possible, it scares me to death. But today seeing a little boy being killed by the reaper, made me realize why I became a solider in the first place. Working with Cerberus turned a lot of people against me, doubting me. But the past is the past, and I intend to kick down the councils door."

Looking at the young Corporal.

"I am glad to have you aboard the Normandy, we pretty much see each other as family. So you will fit in here just fine"

She said kindly.

Steven nodded, "The Council is arrogant and showed disrespected and distaint to you and all of humanity. They want proof that the Reapers exist, well they have it and can't deny it now. Soon they'll know that humanity was right, that you were right."

He looked back out the window and watched as Earth vanished in the distance. He just hoped that that wouldn't be his last time seeing it. "Seem odd doesn't it? Humanity under attack again? Can't we get a break. The First Contact War, troubles in the Terminus system, the Collectors, and now this."

He turned to face Shepard, "I'm willing to help in any way possible Shepard and I'll die defending you, but to deal with the Reapers, we'll need more help than just the Council. We'll need everyone and everything." He gave a pause before giving a small smile and adding, "Just my suggestion Commander."

She liked how he thought and nodded to him, he was right. They needed every species help. So they would have to go all over the place, but right now she looked at him

"I didn't fight the collectors alone, I have many friends in high places. "Garrus Vakarian, Kaiden Alenka, Liara T'Soni, Tali'Zora Vas Normandy, Urdnot Wrex, Joker, so many more. Even have Legion, people are afraid of Legion because he is a Geth. But he taught me that the Geth that I took out that followed Saren and the reapers were not really Geth. We need to get the Salarians, Asari, Krogan, everyone we can get to save our world.

I to am from Earth and we wont fail, to many innocence had to die. I destroyed over 300,000 lives to stop them from coming, but what good did that do? when a couple months later they are destroying our worlds. But I know what has to be done, and to talk with an old friend"

She smiled, the old friend happened to be the Reaching Queen.

Steven agreed with her, though he dislike the Turians and the Council Species, he knew he had to put aside his bigotry for now. "Yes, I read and listened about your missions and adventures. You did a lot, as well as your crew. While other might have seen you as a traitor or fool, I knew you we're doing it for the greater good."

Steven shook his head, "I think I need to turn in for now. Still haven't gotten over the shock of...." He gestured out the window, to where Earth was. "Unless you have orders for me?"

She nodded some, and looked out the window and sighed some. "Rather we like the council or don't, this is bigger then humanity. Every species is in danger, and I'll be damned if I loose" Clenching her hand in a fist she grew very angry and heard what he said.

"You go rest" She smiled letting her hand go down.

"Joker take us to the citadel" She called and he took off for the citadel and sighed some as she tried to keep her mind off things. After a few hours, they made it there, but there were husks all over. She narrowed her eyes.

"Damn It!"

Steven had gotten a good long nap, which had helped a lot in recovering from the shock of all that had happened. As they approached the Citadel, Stevens put on his Alliance combat uniform and got everything else ready for their arrival.

When they had arrived, and found husks, he had been surprised. The Reapers had already attacked the Citadel, that had not been anticipated. He sighed inwardly knowing that things were just going to get worse.

She took Steven with her and One other member, she had geared up and was ready for anything. So she looked at Steven and nodded some, but soon she
noticed gun fire coming at them. Just automatically she put her hand up and a shield surrounded them protecting them. Not many people knew Shepard was a biotic, but she growled some.

"Fire at will" She gave the order, her other hand went to her omni tool and was able to disable the portable torrent.

"Damn Cerberus" She said with a bad anger.

Steven rolled his eyes as he saw Cerberus soldiers firing upon them, "Probably indoctrinated. If so, things are worse than I thought."

Now, not only was Earth under attack, but also the Citadel. Both places were 'south' on the galactic map, so therefore the closest on the Reapers path of destruction. If humanity was to recieve aid, along with the council, they'd have to seek allies in places like Pavel, the Migrant Fleet, and other places that weren't going to be attacked for a while.

"Shepard, it's no good," shouted Steven as he slid into cover beside her, "We can't do anything here. What's the plan?"

Shepard listened to what he told her, she had her pistol in her hand and narrowed her eyes. She hated the council but something had to be done, looking at him she smiled a bit to him. "Well as much as I don't like the council, We have to see if they are still alive. Besides I have some friends on the citadel and I have to see if they are still alive, there is no choice. We just have to watch each others backs" She went to the air lock and walked onto the platform of the station, it was beyond quite and this wasn't good.

Steven rolled his eyes and sighed in frustration. Now they had to save some people who were probably either already dead, captured by the reapers, or transformed into husks. At her request, he felt himself at a crossroads.

He wasn't forced to follow her orders, and if she wanted to risk her life for a group of damned counciler, how would probably still ignore humanities request for aid, then she could do so while he found a way back to Earth and helped to defend it.

However, Shepard was a hero and always seemed to know what she was going. And when she set her mind to something, no one and nothing would stop her from achieving that goal.

So, despite how he felt and what his gut instinct told him, he would do as she asked. Activating his tech shield, Steven drew his shotgun and followed Shepard's lead.

Shepard could tell he wasn't happy with the order, though he didn't need to follow her orders. But she was glad he was coming, taking her assault rifle she got behind some cover. And looked at him.

"Look I know you don't want to do this, it maybe foolish. But I appreciate you joining me any way, but there is another reason I'm doing this. I have a friend here, I need to get her out. I got a message from her, she is in hiding and I'll be damned if I let her die. Besides I promised Garrus id get her out."

Not many knew Shepard was a biotic, least no one in her new crew. Getting out of hiding she started to head to the elevator going down to the wards, she checked her omni tool for life signs. It was clear for now, so once the elevator door opened she headed for the medical area.

Steven wondered whom she was hoping to find and rescue, besides the council members. As the elevator opened, he saw that Shepard was headed for the medical area, though what or who she expected to find was beyond him. They already had a doctor, two actually, so why, if she was, would she be looking for a doctor?

"Shepard," Steven began, "Just who are we looking for?"

He wasn't sure if it was something personal to her, but they were risking the lives of thousands every second they delayed getting help

Shepard knew the dangers, but this person meant the world to her. She heard screams, and noticed who she was looking for. "A woman who has been with me from the start, I see her like a mother" She saw husks, she pointed her gun and pulled the trigger but it wasn't working. "Doctor!" She growled some, only a handful of people knew Shepard was a strong biotic. Her body started to glow blue, and sent one hell of a shock wave to the husks killing them on impact.

She looked over her shoulder, grabbing the doctor she stood beside him. Still angry, throwing all of her energy at them. "Come on let's go, Ive been in contact with my friend Liara there is something we can use to stop this." She had seen that little boy die, she wasn't going to let her friend dieitherer.

Steven used his overload ability to stun a husk, leavings it open for him to finish off with his weapon. Then, once sure that the area was clear, he followed Shepard. He always used the same routine when in combat. Fire at enemies, use his overload ability if they were in cover or closing in on his position, and respawn his combat drone whenever in was destroyed.

"This is getting chaotic, but I don't see any reapers here. They must have just sent this small invading force to cause confusion."

She nodded some "Come on let's go" She touched her communicator in her ear. "Cortez we could use some help here" She said, they were being surrounded. And within a few moments, the shuttle came down for us. Getting the doctor in first, she got in right after and began to back him up with fire. "Come on let's go" She said not wanting to loose any of her men.

What the hell is going on?

Steven looked down the sights of his Avenger Rifle and shot down another reaper creation monster, one that looked like it once was a turian, before checked his surroundings. Seeing some of the reapers closing in, he deployed his combat drone then made a run for the shuttle.

He got in and nodded to the pilot, telling him it was all clear, as he closed the shuttle door. Once it was securly shut, Steven sat down at a nearby bench and pulled off his helmet. "I hate going to the Citadel. Always did." He gave a weak smile then looked at the doctor, with a frown, "What is so important about her Shepard? I don't see..." He shook his head. "Ahh... Nevermind."
