new gamer geek thread!

I'm ashamed to say I have never played any of those games, Mass effect looks awesome though, I'm pretty tight on money but when I have enough, it's a spending spree at Game!

Yes, the pain goes deep :/
World of Warcraft is one of the top 5 games I want to play, but I'm afraid that if I ever get a decent computer and finally get the game, I will never go outside again XD

Was it just me, or were "Fire Red" and "Leaf Green" extremely lame? Have they no originality?

Pretty true actually, I got both as trading seemed like the only proper fun to get out of them. Saphire was my favourite.

WoW really isn't what it used to be. Although, saying that, I suppose as a new player you wouldn't really know what you're missing, so you'd enjoy it for what it is. If that makes sense? I was raiding like 5 nights a week at one point, definitely not healthy haha.

Yeah, makes perfect sense, I guess it's kind of a plus then. Your eyes must have killed, but how well I know! I almost failed GCSE exams because I was too distracted by Oblivion. Never again XD

Paha, me too! I just started getting into WoW when I was in year 9 or something...so JUST in time to totally distract me from all my revision and stuff :p

Splatterhouse

Hahaha, I like that one!!! It's sort of creepy-erotica.

Haha, I wonder if we can sue the gaming industry for risking our grades? XD

The game title goes fantastically! :)

I could have made a whole series of these pictures but i sell all games i have played shortly afterwards, so no more pictures from me ;)

Yeah, the 1st gen Pokes were the only good thing about them. The gameplay was boring. My favorite was Diamond and Pearl. I thought the Wifi trading was really cool. Unfortunately, D/P were the last series I played. Have you played Black or White?

Nope, I haven't tried black or white yet, are they drastically different from any other the others in terms of the region and bad characters? I've played gold, that was my first Pokemon game.

Heavy Rain was one of my most memorable games, I loved it, I was so tense!

I haven't played B/W either, but I'm guessing that the Pokemon are just as lame as in other versions. Nosepass!? WTF? Yeah, the running shoes were pretty awesome! My first game was Crystal, but I bought a used copy of Red later on. It's so worth it, just for Missingno! Which starting type do you pick, out of curiosity?

90% of the time I go for fire, they're harder to train up but they're pretty strong, What about you? my favourite pokemon is probably Charizard.
I have a soft spot for dragons XD

I've picked fire in every game I've played. My favorite is probably Typhlosion, just because of nostalgia. I was 9 years old when I played that game! Nostalgia aside, I'd probably agree with Charizard, though Blaziken was cool as well.
Yeah, dragons are pretty awesome! Though not technically a dragon type, Gyarados was always one of my favorites. Plus, it evolved from the lamest Pokemon in history.

I, too, am too old for pokemon. I played even freaking Atari (my PC has an atari sticker, actually), Enduro was awesome. Kids, lawn, etc, yeah.

Anyway, this may be my favorite videogame, I find myself going back to my PS to play this one over and over. That's the 1997 japan-only limited edition of Akumajo Dracula X: Gekka no Yasoukyoku (Castlevania: Symphony of the Night).

I promise to clean and cook and let you play video games and do anything you want in bed.

You are just too yummy.

as if you have to ask. You can get me to do anything you'd like with the "do anything you want in bed" part.

Thank you. Not as much as you, but thanks!

Castlevania is a franchise of action games, with vague hints of suspense. I do love survival horror games (my favorite definitely is the Fatal Frame franchise). I stopped believing in rpg games when FFVIII came out. Most of my games are action/adventure and horror. I do enjoy other genres, like, say, eroge and such :p

XD (Let's agree to disagree on that one :p )

I have heard of fatal frame, that's the one where you have to photo the ghosts? I don't normally get scared easily but games like that push the right buttons.

Fatal Frame definitely rocks! I have a soft spot for the Resident Evil and Silent Hill series...
