Chris Christie has seen the hand writing on the wall. The Republican Party is in shambles and all they can do is think of ways to shrink the party and reduce its influence.

He's not risking anything. When a center moderate conservative party emerges from the smoke, he'll be in a perfect position to look at the old GOP and say, "What have you done for me, lately."

America doesn't do center/moderate/conservative political parties. The parties are always ideologically monolithic tho many pols are centrist. Vampires need benign people to bring them fresh meat....and pols always serve vampires.
