I'm guessing the new system is to feed any updates over a day old into the archives. nothing over 23 hours is on my "latest/all activity", or on "My Author's activity" feed.

Before the change, you could see every update on a single page, it was just hidden behind a "load more" button. (like when you're seeing all stories/favourites on an author's page), While I'm not a technical wizz, I could only imagine how much of an information strain this could cause on the current server, considering there are a lot of people accessing it daily.

I'm having trouble with my home page. I have zero stories and its telling me I am not following any authors, even though I have 69 followed. even stories published in the last 3 days are no longer there. basically its telling me I have a brand new account, but all my comments from past stories are accessible.

Nothing in the archive since Wednesday. This change desperately needs a rollback.

Yeah, I've checked all new stories in the last 5 days and found 8 stories that weren't in my list of updates:

The changes seem to have settled down a bit and I assume they're now operating as planned. The option to click on archived activity is now appearing at the bottom of the page, as promised. But new stories don't seem to appear in the 'My Author's Activity' section; all the new stories just go to the archived section.

I see 1 new story in the new list from the 18th but there are newer stories from the 20th in the archived list. Additionally some new stories from the same time period from authors I follow don't show up on either list. In one case, a story from the same author as the story that shows up in my new list that was posted on the same day (18th) doesn't show up for me on either list.

Gonna just throw my 2c in here too. Whatever this update was supposed to address, this ain't it. I only get updates *in the archived feed* if a story gets Editor's choice. Otherwise, it's not shown. Nothing shows up in my regular feed.

I have to go to Following -> author -> works, then scan every series to see if there was an update. This is basically unusable.

I find it funny that people are commenting in this thread, which is about an entirely unrelated change made in 2019, about a change made in late 2025.

Since there doesn't seem to be a fix in sight maybe I need to find another site to post my stories on? Right now nothing updates, everything is 'archived.' and my story is stuck in limbo... again. Who even asked for these changes? Maybe we all need to find another site. Maybe go back to that Adult friend finder Affiliate site. If I could remember the name...

There have been some unexpected issues with the rollout, but the new Activity Feed should work exactly the same as the old one (with more options for users to customize it, and more new notification types in the future) once the bugs are worked out. The archive is temporary since it is no longer updating and that data is going to be old and obsolete after a month or two. This wasn't the smoothest rollout we've ever done (apologies for that), but most things are working now and the remaining open issues (a large backlog of anonymous comment notifications, for example) should be back up to full speed very soon. Thanks for the all of the feedback and bug reports.

Manu, I think his main concern is the "pending stories" issue where stories are submitting, go into "pending" status and then sit there for weeks - in some cases up to two months before authors get fed up, delete them and resubmit, only to have the same thing happen again. Tis is happening to a LOT of people.

If you could update us on THAT issue, that would be appreciated.

Its not working propperly! A bunch of stories from writers i follow are not showing up in my feed (i only managed to find then via the new stories page). And the archived version is also not working the way it should, some stories are in there 2 or 3 times

Mine was up for over a month and was stuck in pending. I was advised to delete and resubmit it. Now, it's been 2 weeks and still stuck in pending again. I also tried to follow someone and that doesn't work either. How do they manage to update something and absolutely none of it works? Can't they just hire someone who knows what they are doing?

I don't know if you are aware but some of the stuff in my current Activity feed Is older than what's in the archive. And as others have pointed out It should be "anonymous" user left a comment not "deleted" user

Yes, I got "deleted user" for a while too, but it's back to Anonymous User now.

I had hoped to publish my 'Ghost of a Chance' story for halloween. A erotica, funny Ghost Hunters parody. Since my Nymph 2 series is pretty much done. But if nothing is working I don't see the point in writing it.

I don‘t know if anybody already suggested it (haven‘t found anything related), of if it is even the right place, but i have a suggestion to make:

I think it would be awesome if the authors could reply to comments in their stories. For example if someone suggests a better wording, or is asking for continuation of a story, we could reply to it.

Stories are going thru but there's two major bugs with
(1) stories going into Pending and never being published
(2) stories being automatically rejected for AI when no AI has been used in the writing of the stories

A LOT of users have reported these issues and stories in limbo but rejected and we have no info from Manu or the site on
(a) what the issue(s) are
(b) what's being done to fix them
(c) what the interim process is to escalate and have resolved so stories are published

All I can suggest is
(a) delete your story completely
(b) resubmit and include a Note to Admin entry advising of issue and that story is being resubmitted
(c) Open a bug report, provide details and include link to your submitted story - USE THE BUG REPORT FEATURE - do not use feedback or PM Laurel - you won't get a response, I suspect they're being flooded with PM's on this stuff
