Newbie - With questions

I'm wondering if there is room anywhere in the genre for plot based stories of about 25 - 30 K words in length.

They are not hard core, but graphic, the plot not necessarily driven by the sex.

Additionally, given that I can write, can something like that ever get published commercially?

I've written 5 over the past several years, am an in vary stages of editing.

Macro7 wrote some stories about a male dominated planet called Praxton on here, and they were taken up first by an e-book publisher, then in paperback, and now he holds book signings.
