Jake hit the gas racing down the track in a beautiful run. Sadly he didn't keep up his three second runs, but still pulled out a 4.011. IT was more than enough as it turned out. Kevin clicked over the radio and said, "WE got it Jake! She smoked the tires off the line. You blew her up by a mile way to go buddy!"
Jake was so happy he wanted to cry. He couldn't believe he had made it. He was in round 2 and if he could pull out one more win he would be in his first Semi-finals ever! Every race seemed to get better, the team getting better and better with the car. It was all going so smoothly.
Jake waited for Angela to pull up beside him and Jake popped out of the top of his car. He jerked his helmet off and grinned, "I can't wait to see you in that bikini. Great idea putting that on Twitter too."
He hopped off the car and went around to stand in front of her. "Angela wait a second. Look I'm glad I won, but to be honest that was kind of sour. I wanted to beat you at your best, not get lucky by some car problem." He moved to the back of her car to look at the tires. They looked fine, if a little worn from a normal run. "What happened anyway, I don't see tire burns?"
