Audrey
Audrey was looking at Taylor's picture in admiration and...yes, longing. The woman was beautiful. She definitely didn't know her own beauty. She closed it out. One from mom to ask if she had called Rusty, because his machine was broken, and another from Mary talking about a hot Latin stud she gave a killer blow job to. The final email was from her angry friend. He wanted to help her. Well, perhaps they could help each other.
Stranger,
My name is Audrey, and I will say that while I am definitely lonely for love, there is nothing particularly wrong with my life right now. No man has hurt me in quite a while, and no woman either. There is just that pit in your heart that seems to yell out: YOU'RE ALONE. You know the one, the one that makes it difficult to breath when it's shouting too loudly? Work is actually excellent. I am an editor and it seems that I will be writing a novel for publication. Keep your fingers crossed for me. I have been alone for a long time, and though it gets frustrating, try to remember that one day all this emptiness will be filled. Take care, and keep your spirits up. If you wish to continue correspondence, your name might help.
Your email bud,
Audrey
She clicked send and then went back to Taylor's picture. She was a bit embarrassed sending her picture to this beauty. She probably would find her unattractive and stop emailing, but fair was fair. She looked through her pictures in her computer and chose one of her sitting on a chair at Christmas time with a blanket on her legs, a book in her lap, and coffee in her hand. This epitomized her. It wasn't a glamorous picture, but it was the one that defined her.
Dearest Taylor,
I have attached a picture to this email. I was afraid to send it after I saw yours. You are truly beautiful. I would blush to say this in person, but I found myself staring at it. As for my day, I had a killer day. I decided to take the chapters I had written (thanks to you) and gave them to my boss. He gave me good criticism and says he wants more chapters by friday! I might actually publish a book of my own! It makes me so happy to hear that you found a home for one of your animals. I know that is important to you. It must be hard handing them over after you have rescued and healed them. As for love, I am beginning to have some patience in that department, some faith. Perhaps it will come for both of us sooner than we think. Well, tata for now. Sleep well. I will be thinking of you and your lovely eyes.
Yours,
Audrey
Audrey grabbed a soda from the fridge and some popcorn and settled down to write. "Standing in the middle of the street was a woman, rich with beauty and poise. Her fire-red locks were blowing in the wind like an angel's wings. Her eyes, like emeralds, seemed to light her face and the air around her..."
