Katia Monroe

She may have had to share the kids with her ex husband which keeps him in her life for SO very much longer than she would have liked but at least when he copped an attitude with the judge She did get the house and half his money. Which afforded her to go back into modeling and hiring a very talented and highly envied personal assistant and agent. Which found her in a pleasurable relationship where neither were tied down by the other... no... Love just good friends riding the hell out of each other when they needed it or just wanted it... permanent booty call if you will.

She sat back by the pool looking over the various offered photo shoots an debating where she wanted to next... The Islands... The Desert... Out west... Where oh where to go? She ran her fingers through her long sandy brown hair as she thought about where to go. Her mind however kept slipping back to the other night in the candlelight... satin... wine and her booty call in one of the most sensual passionate nights of her life. She closed her eyes smiling still feeling his lips on her lips and her breasts. So much pleasure with no need for any commitment... not that she would be willing to commit to anyone after her rocky marriage and insane divorce, and she knew he wouldn't either.

So it was perfect... so very... very perfect she thought as she looked at the phone knowing his other half would be leaving for work soon.

When you say the word "Agent" to most people, they think of some low level-scumbag-wheeler-dealer-hustler. Someone you might meet in an alley but not someone you'd want in your house, or even past your gate into your yard.

What these same people didn't realize is that to be an Agent - a REAL Agent - you needed a law degree along with a pretty extensive business background. On top of that, job openings are scarce, so in order to get your foot in the door, you had to start at the bottom of an agency, taking jobs as gophers and mail room clerks, just hopping to get noticed. And all of this happened before you could even begin to think about making any serious money.

Adam Parker had been at this game long enough that he was making money, wasn't a low-class wheeler dealer hustler, and often made it past the gate and made himself comfortable in living rooms. His success was evident by the people he came in contact with on a regular basis - good, hard working above-board people that looked for the best deal for their side. No cheating, nothing funny, just good solid negotiation. Ok, maybe some looked to cheat, but Adam could tell, and reacted accordingly.

Success also showed by the level of client that retained Adam, and Katia Monroe was finest example of this. She was one of the most well known models in the world, and she hadn't allowed her recent high-profile divorce bring her down. Adam had worked hard to not only bring her success, wealth and fame, but was also able to give her choices. Currently he was waiting on her to pick from three choices for her next shoot. There was a cologne ad to be shot in the California High Desert, where the client and the photog were looking for a biker gang motif. Then there was a men's shirt maker that was to be shot in the Arabian Dessert, and a 5 star resort shoot to take place in Aruba.

Adam knew which one he hoped she picked because he was going with her. Adam planned on seeing Katia performing in any of these environments, but recent developments in their relationship had broadened their time together. She was now sharing her nights and her bed with Adam. That made Adma one of the luckiest men in the world, not just because he enjoyed the perfection that was Katia, but because it further distanced him from a terrible marriage.

Adam stayed back in the house and let his wife leave for work, avoiding contact with her. She was doing the same, avoiding him, so staying out of her way worked out in a mutual manner. He watched her Mercedes back out of the driveway and head off, and he instinctively picked up his phone and hit the speed dial for Katia. After a short while, he heard her voice and his heart jumped.

"Good Morning. I'm picturing you either still in bed in that short nighty, sitting by the pool in that luscious two-piece, or having coffee in the kitchen in that lacey robe. I'm a winner either way. Which is it?"

Adrian just picked up the girls so I am sure you can guess.

Her tone was tired even though it was still morning. Adrian would always try to pick a fight or make some big lavish scene of gifts for the girls or some amazing trip. It was tiresome but at least she had Adam and that made Adrian survivable. He was independently wealthy mainly due to his parents and she worked for a living so the girls would often side with him but did not want to live with him so life was never dull. Court was always fun since he was always trying to cause trouble there too.

So when are you going to get over here?

Her mind divided talking to him and remembering their first time. It had all happened by accident really. She had met up with Adam and several others for a party. She had arrived late due to a court date and massive fight and was simply in the mood to drink and forget. She had one thing on her side and that was the fact that Adrian had pissed off just about every judge in town with his many court appearances. She was sitting there feeling quite tipsy at the party and talking to Adam about how he had been the only real "relationship" with a man that had ever been simple... and complication free in her entire life... then she had kissed him and everything seemed almost a blur from there except that they ended up in bed together and the rest was as they say "history".

Adrian just picked up the girls so I am sure you can guess.

"Yes, I CAN guess, and while I'm driving over, I'll let that image dance in my mind!"

Adam had to be careful. Representing someone like Katia meant he had to constantly be on edge. She was a complete joy to be around, to enjoy, and the last night especially with her was.....nothing short of magical. Emotionally he was still reliving that night in his head, and physically, well, he hadn't quite recovered in that way either.

But Adam knew they were both on the cusp of an explosion in Katia's career. Sure, she was world famous and seen everywhere, but if all of that was handled improperly, Katia's image would be everywhere and lose all of its value. And sitting by the pool would then be the only highlight of her day. Much like Katia herself, her career needed to be handled with great care.

Driving into Katia's gate and to the back of the house, he saw her quickly by the pool. The sun shimmered off of her legs immediately which would have drawn his eyes if they weren't already glued to her. Next he noticed her sunglasses, which were quickly withdrawn as she saw Adam approaching. Standing to greet him, they embraced and kissed, poolside, in the warm sun, the early morning California breeze dancing about.

Adam needed to talk business, but it could wait a few seconds. Her aroma intoxicated him, and the feel of her body against him froze him in his place. He was dressed in khaki slacks and a polo shirt, but he ached to feel her body against his again and took comfort in the thought that he would soon.

"Have you looked over the offers we have? They all look good, but the timing is such that we can only pick one."

Fredrick and his crew are already slated photographers for two of these... if he wants to work with me bad enough to appease his father and keep our professional careers growing... he will stagger the two of them and we will do both.

Her tone was clearly not her calm devious happy self. That edge of anger and hurt slithered through her voice. Clearly they had fought when he picked up the girls not that it was a rare thing but it usually meant more court dates and more madness in her life.

"Fredrick and his crew are already slated photographers for two of these... if he wants to work with me bad enough to appease his father and keep our professional careers growing... he will stagger the two of them and we will do both."

Adam smiled a reassuring, patient smile. "Of course. You know best. I'm sure. as you of pointed out, Freddy can accommodate us. I'll make it happen."

Taking a second to reassess her mood and demeanor, Adam kept back for just a second, not invading Katia's space, give her room to breath and allowing any demons to evaporate. It was too bad, really. She was one person when dealing with business or talking to Adam, but when dealing with her prick ex-husband Adrian she was completely different.

She smiled to him.

Good... I think I am going to go relax in the hot tub. Let me know how he reacts and when we start.

Standing she smiled and leaned into kiss his cheek before walking off towards the gazebo hidden hot tub tossing her top away just before vanishing into the gazebo.

Adam watched her walk away and thought of the old joke....."I hated to see her leave, but I LOVED watching her walk away."

Frederick answered the phone immediately and, like Katia said, was very agreeable to adjusting the schedule to meet her needs. It was a quick conversation, causing Adam to hardly break a sweat.

Did she need to know that? Did Katia need to know that Adam would work for free? That arranging her shoots and handing her business required little in the way of negotiation, because everyone he came in contact with was fighting for a piece of her?

No, she didn't need to know that, just like she didn't need to know when her business affairs were stormy and difficult.

Strolling back to the gazebo, he saw the sun glint off the bubbling water, her relaxed form blending in. He didn't have any meetings for the morning, and any business he had for the afternoon could be done on the phone from here.

"Want some company?"

Honestly... yeah some company would be nice. Know where I could find some?

She tried to laugh a little seeking to free her mind from her morning and Adam was not only wonderful at dealing with the business side of things but an always welcome distraction. Leaning her head back she closed her eyes and continued to let the water take away her stress and strife.
