So, I know that there are plenty of folks on this forum who are nonmonogamous in their relationships as a kink or a lifestyle, and typically get excited thinking about (or hearing about, or watching) their partners with other people. And that’s great.

But what about those within consensual nonmonogamous relationships whose feelings are a bit more… nuanced?

Maybe you’re happy that your partner has other relationships and/or hookups, but you find you need to distract yourself when they’re out. Or maybe you do sometimes get turned on by it, but other times would rather not think about it. Or you have feelings of jealousy that you try to manage.

Are there folks out there who understand what I’m talking about? I’m thinking this thread could be a no-judgement place to talk about this, or to post to when feelings get a little complicated.

I’m afraid I don’t understand your third paragraph at all.
Are you talking about open relationships, poly, or non monogamous?

I’m using nonmonogamy as an umbrella term which can include open relationships, polyamory, etc.
