"Well I'm leaving and you can just stuff it," Alison Aubrey stated, as she slung a backpack over her shoulder and gave her girlfriend a final annoyed look, before she headed out the front door. "And I really don't care which you do!" she then added with emphasis before taking a final glance at Nichole and closing the door behind her.
Nichole Hawkins just sat in her chair, wide eyed and not quite sure what had just transpired, or at the very least, how it came to pass. Finally, after watching Alison slide into the drivers seat of her car and simply drive off, the humbling humiliation washed over her as she glanced around the coffeeshop where their argument boiled over and their long lasting relationship had simply unraveled. There weren't many people here, but those that were, she could feel their eyes on her. Like daggers.
Not wanting to endure their stares, whether imaginary or not, Nichole rose up from her seat, not bothering to finish her coffee as she headed out to her car. But she wasn't going to chase the one girl she had ever been in a serious relationship with. For the past few weeks she had been living half between Alisons families house and her Dads place as they saved up to strike it out on their own, but with the sudden fallout she just wouldn't feel comfortable at the Aubrey residence.
So, still managing to hold back the tears, she headed to her Dads.
